Fire Mountain

We loved Fire Mountain Blue Moss Gypsy Creek Cabin! Phillippa the GM was so accommodating with our 2 elderly shih tzus. They were very comfortable and enjoyed the mountain air. I noticed she had her hands in near about anything and it shows she will go above and beyond to please guests. The views are stunning. Beds are comfy. And staff is amazing. I enjoyed a wonderful massage with Amanda which started off the day perfectly. There are no TVs in cabins which are a plus in my book. We couldn't have asked for a more relaxing trip!

My husband and I were looking for a quick weekend getaway for our anniversary. We chose Fire mountain resort based on the wonderful reviews and we were not disappointed. Phillippa Mead the GM was exceptional, even before we got to the resort, she provided information on getting to property and was ready to assist with whatever we needed to make our stay comfortable. The views of the property are spectacular. Our room was cozy and well kept, the bed very plush and luxurious. Daily breakfast at the Cloud 7 restaurant deliciously amazing. My husband forgot his favorite cup, Phillippa offered to mail it to us. Customer service that goes above and beyond. Priceless! We will definitely be going back.

Stunning views! Great friendly staff. Stayed here on a romantic get away. Very peaceful and quiet. Loved it.

We booked this stay as part of a fly drive around the Carolinas and booked 2 night. The location whilst secluded was perfect for us and did not disappoint. If you don't intend to switch off from the world perhaps stay somewhere else. Philippa was a brilliant host and shared some great advice on places to visit, eat or hike. The evening sunsets & sunrises were out of this world and one you could never tire of.

My husband and I chose Fire Mountain for a getaway over Labor Day Weekend and loved our time there! Phillippa was great at communicating ahead of time about how to find the property and our room. We stayed in the Cloud Climber room in the lodge and loved the incredible mountain views and comfortable bedding. The daily breakfast was so lovely—there's a beverage bar set up in the morning with coffee, hot tea, and juice, a fruit plate to start each day, and Phillippa made delicious dishes (bacon and shallot quiche, French toast, eggs benedict). We enjoyed dining on the restaurant patio deck and visiting with other guests. Truly a tranquil atmosphere. Phillippa also gave us great recommendations about where to go and what to see in the Highlands area. We saw several of the waterfalls in the area, went for a hike, enjoyed a wine flight at the Vineyards at High Holly, and enjoyed restaurants and shopping in Highlands and Cashiers. Fire Mountain was a great home base, and it was easy to get around the area. Great experience overall. We hope to come back and stay again someday!

This place is off the beaten path, but so worth it! You can't beat the views when you are at the top of the mountain...the staff was so sweet and accommodating. The room was clean, parking is very convenient. A unique breakfast is served everyday. If I could change one thing I would have preferred breakfast be served a little earlier..they serve it at 9AM. But that would be my only "criticism"... :) I highly recommend this place and will stay here again!

Stunning! Breathtaking! We spent our anniversary here and received top notch service! Highly recommend! The food was perfect!! We will be back! Phillippa was the best at making us feel welcome and going above and beyond for our stay! A++++

We have been coming to Fire Mountain Inn for five year and it continues to be our favorite place to stay in the area. The new owners are making enjoyable changes and upgrades to rooms and grounds. The peace and beauty remain unsurpassed and the location close to activity in Highlands and Sky Valley is a plus.

Nice mt. top views after a .5 mile drive up a gravel rd. Rooms are primitive. No a/c and very limited privacy since the patio doors must stay open to get air circulation into the rooms. On-site meal options were a fixed menu breakfast no earlier than 9am or an expensive price fixed dinner by reservation only.There is no on-site bar service so byob. Nice property but next trip to Highlands we will stay in Highlands.

Wow is all I can say! What a beautiful place with awesome people, accommodations and Location. The new owners have done an amazing job with upgrades so far in just a few short months and can not wait to see what they have in store for our next trip. The beds were so comfortable and bedding was top of the line luxury. We had amazing views from our room at the lodge, as well as everywhere else on the property. The property has multiple hiking trails and even a secret waterfall. The food at Cloud 7 Restaurant was out of this world (and we are foodies). They have an awesome chef. Breakfast and Dinner were spectacular and they even made us lunch for our afternoon hikes. At night we enjoyed the bonfires along with other guests and met some great people. Not to mention the millions of fireflies! We really never had to leave and really never wanted to. Also, book a massage at their spa. Totaly worth it. Can't wait to go back!
