Homewood Suites By Hilton Salina/Downtown, Ks

This place was amazing beautifully decorated very very nice accommodations. Would definitely stay again.

We were on a cross-country trip from Maryland to Arizona. We have stayed in Salina on our last trip but not at this hotel. This is a beautiful hotel. Hotel is in Downtown Salina which is a lovely town to walk with some nice restaurants. The lobby of this hotel is one of the nicest I have ever been in. We had a wonderful breakfast that included varied dishes that I have never had at any hotel. You really felt like you were at a 5 star hotel. The area where we ate was comfy, quiet and beautifully decorated. You did not feel like you were at any normal breakfast room included with your room. Our room was wonderful. Great bed and quiet. We had a full sized fridge and table to eat at. Also a sitting area with a couch. The town was fun to walk; parking is across the street. Just a lovely, unexpected experience during a grueling trip across the country to get home. Staff were always cheery and engaging.

Beautifully and thoughtfully decorated, reflecting the history of Salina, super friendly and professional staff, excellent breakfast, wonderful pool. Restaurant on site, YaYa’s, was one of the best meals I’ve had in a while with great food drinks atmosphere and service. Within walking distance of cute shops. Room was clean and comfortable, I would stay again and recommend.

I gave 4 stars because within 30 minutes of being in the room two staff members walked in unannounced. Meaning, no knock or saying housekeeping, just swiped card and came in. I shouldn’t have to put the door stopper on to prevent staff from coming in. If my daughter (child) would have been changing, I would have lost it. I suggest coming up with a way to tell each other when rooms are occupied to avoid disruptions in stays and for the safety of minors or just announce no matter what. I did receive a duplicate pet fee charge due to having two rooms one with a dog and one without which they did assist with removing. Also, my pet fee of 75$ came with CID tax and sales tax for room, so I had two sales room taxes. 75$ is actually 83.44. Other than that, it truly is a beautiful hotel with amazing food. The breakfast bar is small but mighty! They had pulled pork to make your own breakfast burritos, overnight oats with chai seeds, and fresh fruit. In my opinion, food choices were better than Embassy. I’ve stayed in 20 different hotels this year and this is by far the cleanest and most beautiful hotel I stayed at for Hilton. The staff were friendly and they welcome pets.

We walked to dinner at a nearby restaurant, Jose Peppers. They provided Excellent Service and good food and drinks. Then we walked to the Theatre and then we walked back to the Hotel. It was a lovely experience, and I would stay here again!! Thank you Travelocity for helping with the room reservation. :)
