Thunderbird Lodge

No A/C in 100 degree weather. Everything was old and dingy. The bathroom was disgusting. Pool under construction and closed for the whole summer. Photos very misleading. We got a refund and left. Don't go here!

We booked at the Thunderbird Lodge because they had a pool and were downtown. The morning of our reservation we received a text saying the pool was closed for planned renovations. When we arrived we told them about our disappointment with the pool situation and they allowed us to cancel without penalty which was very nice on their part.

Good location, room was clean, easy parking.

I booked this hotel because of the pool and because I needed a quiet place for my conference call in the morning at 8: 30. I was woken up at 7:00 with someone running a gasoline-powered leaf blower on the sidewalk in front of my door. At 8:30 my entire room was shaking because of the jackhammering removing the sidewalk around the pool area. Needless to say the pool was not operational and nobody told me. I complained to management and was told nobody could do anything to help me.

I was impressed with the cleanliness of the room and bathroom. The shower temperature was excellent and the water pressure was great. The air conditioner worked great. Polite and helpful staff. The hotel is right next to a 24-hour donut shop. Some may feel the neighborhood is a bit seedy, but I encountered no problems.

Comfortable, decent breakfast

All things considered such as cost and location this meet or exceeded expectations.
