Cliff House Inn

The location is GREAT aside from being adjacent to freeway which is not their fault. Freeway noise is not terrible. The ocean is as close as you can imagine and the grounds are iexcellent. The property is not in great shape- needs a lot of work and TLC. If this place was renovated and the breakfast improved it could be restored to greatness. Staff were kind and very helpful. Totally a mixed bag. The beds and bed sheets and really everything about the rooms just feel worn out and tired.

Property feels tired, worn, and desperately needs renovation. Breakfast extremely limited and basics like coffee nearly undrinkable.

Inn is located on cliff right next to the ocean, you can hear the ocean as you fall asleep if you have your windows open.

Older property that needs a remodel, paint was peeling in various areas, shower head was too low, the temperature gauge in the shower was installed backwards, the windows feel like they are going to fall off the track when you open or close them, the inn is relatively small so you can hear everything and everyone in the pool area and hear conversations as people walk by your room. The breakfast was ok. I agree with other reviewers that better protein options would have been nice (hard boiled eggs were available). There is a restaurant on premise, so make sure to check out the menu before you go and they are not open for breakfast. Lunch options looked good, but dinner options were limited and pricey. Inn is located 15 minutes in either direction from any other options. The "beach" area is very small and mid-level tides means there really isn't a beach area to relax on.

Proximity to the highway right next to the hotel with tremendous traffic noise and pollution The room had no coffee machine, no closet, the bed is very high, the room is small. There is a storage small reception area.

Hot water took 10 min to come from the sink. The shower water leaked through the floor grout of the shower out the door of the shower/toilet room.
