Holiday Inn Express & Suites Denton - Sanger by IHG

Newer hitel..slightly off the beaten path.. served our needs.

Some repairs need to be done to the rooms from wear and Tare. Water pressure was weak and did not get very hot. Not enough breakfast for alll guests.

Great hotel. Very clean and up to date. Maid service was great too. Comfortable bed. Highly recommend.

Easy in and out , Great service , Clean and a good breakfast included . There’s also many food choices around the hotel .

Beds were comfortable and we slept well. Walls were thinner than other places. We could hear other bathrooms when we weee in the bathroom. The food was standard hotel food, and was not attended by staff.

The room wasn’t ready for our 4 pm check in. We arrived at 4:35 and the front desk staff told us it would be 20 min for our room. It hadn’t been cleaned yet. After the 2 nd time of the front desk staff telling us there wasn’t anything they could do I had to ask for the manager. He should have showed up earlier and they should have had a plan in place to accommodate customers as they showed up. After about 20 -25 min I asked for the 2nd time for a different room. They finally agreed. That should have happened immediately. Staff was genuinely nice but made us late for a wedding. When spending close to $200 dollars per night you would think they would have been better prepared.

Will not stay here again. When we checked in the lady in front of us said her room was not clean. The desk clerk said “is it where we can just vacuum it up?” No apologies or nothing. We check in and the price my card was charged was not to online rate. The rate charged on the paper was different from both rates. The girls working the desk were clueless and worse than that they did not care. Beds are very uncomfortable and overall the hotel was very blah.

This Holiday Inn is a new build. I expected the hotel to have a trained staff , policy compliance and of course, all the bonuses of a new build. Unfortunately, this was not the case. First what was alarming is the staff apparel. They are dressed in street clothes, not even work attire, just street clothes. Faded tshirt, dirty jeans etc. It is concerning when you can't distinguish an intruded at your door or a staff member walking the halls. There is absolutely no dress code. They displayed no hospitality training or education. Especially, no IHG protocol. I was really shocked. This hotel seems to run by their own standard. They don't respect your privacy nor members rewards nor benefits. I fell ill and asked for our benefit late check out of 2 pm. I was immediately met with resistance and harassment. My phone began to ring and was told I would be charge an additional fee for the member benefit check out while on the phone with front desk the tried to enter my room while locked and had do not disturb sign. I packed up in a hurry and left by regular check out. I no longer felt comfortable at the property. The building also has numerous construction issues ( I will post pictures) cracked tile plagues the walls, poor quality flooring and hardware installation. Again, I was shocked it was a member of the IHG family. I have been a IHG member for over 25 yrs. I must say I've never seen this manner of management. Purely felt as if its an independent hotel with no policy to comply to other than their personal standard. The price of $408 night for 2 nights is not worth it at all. I couldn't taken many more pictures but chose not to. The hotel has great potential. My hope in posting the review is to bring attention to need of this location and to ask the IHG corporation to intervene to help the owners became a proud member.
