Aparthotel Imperatriz

The staff at the hotel and the two men we were dealing with at the reception were very kind and helpful and were really trying to assist us with everything. The room was clean and as shown on pictures so did the pool on the rooftop. The location is perfect, especially if you need to take the early morning ferry to Porto Santo - its really just 5 min by foot from the hotel.

The room doesn’t have any air conditioning or fan and even in the middle of the night was unbearably hot. We left the door to the balcony open in order to get at least some fresh air in but it didn’t help at all, it got just noisy from the street sounds, and we basically couldn’t sleep the whole night. This was the major minus for us.

It was close to restaurants and bars. Our flight was cancelled due to it being windy, we had to stay another night in Madeira.

I'm not sure if the price was hiked due to the fact most flights were cancelled that day. The price we paid we would not pay that if we were to book a holiday. The room was extremely hot, we asked for a fan, first fan did not work, the second did. Could not fault the staff they were very good. The bed was very comfortable. Overall it is in a nice area, but ok for one night.

We stayed here in June 23 for two weeks. It is lovely clean hotel the maid service was excellent. Claudia on reception couldn’t do enough for us and was very helpful as was all the staff . Hotel is in brilliant location 5 minute walk to town and loads of bars and restaurants on your doorstep. It may be 3 stars but it was 5 stars for us . We loved our holiday thank you to all the staff in the hotel
