Motel 6-Grand Rapids, MI - Northeast

Very dirty and smelly. Will never stay at this hotel again.....

The room was dirty I saw a dead cockroach in the bathroom and there were any traps on the floor it was absolutely disgusting . Especially for how expensive it was .i had my grandchildren with me and was so upset for them doors were banging until about 4 am and loud people it was the most horrible experience I have ever had . I feel like you just stole my money . Jean Macnall

Staff was friendly and understanding.

When we arrived, we were told the hotel was overbooked and that there was no room available for us even though I had made a reservation in advance. Staff offered a different room on the other side of their building which was affiliated to Motel 6. Immediately upon entering the other side of the building, there was a strong, musky smell. The room was terrible - the beds were more like cots, cockroaches ran out of the fridge when we opened it and we saw other roaches on the walls, and tub. The musky smell was stronger in the room than in the hallway. We decided we could not stay here. Thankfully, staff was understanding and the transaction was canceled without any problems.

The only problem was I could not get air conditioner to work The nights were too warm there

It was close to the highway and a large parking area for our trailer

It smelled like dog in the 1st hallway, then smaller urine in the 2nd hallway. Dogs barking at all hours of the night. Bed was hard as a rock.

This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. Do not let the photos fool you. Apparently there is PART of this motel that has been updated but the other half (where I got stuck with my 15 year old daughter) is an extended stay where they apparently allow lions, tigers and bears to live. The lobby doesn't seem so bad but if you have the unfortunate luck to be down the hallway to the left, once you open the doors, you will be knocked out by the smell of urine. The ammonia smell will make you sick. People's dogs were barking all day and night. Little kids screaming and crying from 5am on. And I do NOT recommend going to the parking lot for any reason other than to leave. I saw multiple d*ug deals in broad daylight. Even the front desk worker came out from behind a dumpster after a dealer was flagged down by a long term stay resident. All in all, this hotel is very unsafe, very disgusting and very disappointing. PLEASE do not stay here!

I chose this option because I was looking for a pet friendly option. My expectations were not high. However upon entering the building it smelled like dog urine. Carpets were disgusting. The property looks like it is inhabited by long term dwellers. In my room it was noisy from people just walking on the floor above. In my opinion the best that could happen is burning the place to the ground without occupants of course. If you want your day to go from good to depressed this would be the right hotel for you.

Not good, strange people hanging outside of buildings and around cars. Wifi never worked. No ice machines. Only two coffee pots, no breakfast.

This was a decent place to stay! The staff were quite kind and helpful.

The room had ants. It smelled. Paint was chipping. Vending machine broken, ice machine broken. Crack heads everywhere. VERY VERY VERY DIRTY!!!!!!!!!!!!
