Location with beach although far away from airport and local village amenities, clean, spacious, well laid out with beautiful gardens, good pool and bar in it, clean sea water, shallow clean fine sand beach for long walks, not crowded at the time ( in season not enough loungers?), generally wide choice of menu in restaurants for dinner and breakfast ( pricey so not many diners) very helpful staff, excellent for golfers!!. Premises well maintained

Mat og drikke er mye dyrere enn f eks restauranter rett utenforvderes området. Og maten på små restauranter utenfor hotell området smakte mye bedre og til en brøk del av prisen av hotellets restauranter

I recently stayed at The Lalit Golf Resort & Spa, South Goa from 17th Feb to 19th Feb, and unfortunately, this turned out to be the worst hospitality experience of my life — especially shocking for a property positioned as a five-star luxury resort. While the property itself is beautiful, the management and service standards are extremely disappointing. We arrived around 5:20 PM after a 2.5-hour journey from the airport with our 13-month-old child. Instead of a warm welcome, the staff appeared disinterested and unwelcoming. We were made to wait for a buggy, and then suddenly told it was “hardly a walk” to the room — despite clearly seeing that we were exhausted and urgently needed to use the washroom after travel. To make matters worse, I was asked to park my own car as valet service was unavailable. No orientation or tour of the resort was provided. When we later requested a buggy from the room, we were told they do not send buggies to rooms — contradicting what we had earlier been informed. Only after escalation did the issue get resolved. The Front Desk Head, Mr. Deeshant, was the only staff member who showed professionalism and helped us. The most disappointing experience occurred during breakfast. We reached the buffet around 10:30 AM along with several other guests and were rudely told by the restaurant manager that nothing could be done, even after explaining that our infant was hungry. Shockingly, while we were being refused service, another guest was allowed to take food to their room, and immediately after our request, staff were instructed to remove the food. This lack of empathy and basic hospitality was extremely disturbing. Later that evening, our 13-month-old developed a high fever. The next morning, when I requested breakfast to be sent to the room because my wife could not leave our sick child unattended, the request was again refused. It is unacceptable for a property that claims to be “family-friendly” to show such insensitivity towards a child’s health situation. It felt throughout our stay that the staff were either unwilling to assist guests or restricted by rigid and insensitive management policies. When one pays for a five-star luxury experience, basic empathy, flexibility, and service should not be missing. This stay was deeply disappointing and far below the standards expected from The Lalit brand. I sincerely hope the management takes serious corrective action.
