The Grove Inn

Old and worn property. very loud street. Drab and depressing with dirty windows, contributing to dingy atmosphere. Lobby is furnished like a bus station - burned out light bulbs in lights in entry way. Just a bad experience..Couldn’t wait to check out.

This is our second stay in Grove Inn and it did not disappoint. The staff (Mark especially) will go out of his way to make you comfortable. Location is excellent - just a block away from the Painted Ladies. Walking distance from the city centre and City Hall and museums. Strongly recommended.

Great location

We liked having the two double beds in one room. There was a great shower. The hotel was quiet.

Our room was on the street side. So, it was a little noisy, people, buses, etc. Next time we’ll use the ear plugs provided.

Safe, convenient location

Fijne locatie. Fijn bed.

Prijs relatief hoog voor wat je krijgt, maar dat is standaard in de VS. Beetje oudbollig hotel, maar wel schoon. Geen airco op de kamer (enkel ventilator).

The location was good and the property spacious, very clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly & helpful..

It would have been nice to have access to the microwave after 5 pm as no meal option on the property.

La cosa che ci è piaciuta di più è lo stile delle camere, che rispecchia lo stile di San Francisco ed era il motivo per cui abbiamo scelto questo alloggio. Anche la posizione è comoda perche è vicino alle painted ladies e si può fare una passeggiata in giro per le strade della città.

Parcheggio. È realmente un problema che va risolto, perche non esiste un parcheggio pubblico o multipiano a pagamento per diversi km e non è comodo sopratutto con tutti i sali e scendi di strade.

My stay at The Grove Inn was excellent. The room was clean, comfortable, and the location couldn’t be better—many attractions were within walking distance, which was ideal for me as I love to explore the city on foot. What really stood out, however, was the service. Aziza made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. She was attentive, warm, and always willing to help with advice and recommendations. Her hospitality truly elevated my experience, and I would highly recommend this hotel.
