Ice around the building and no one salting. Rotten bananas and apples for breakfast. Bedding old thin and poor quality. Smelled of curry in the halls which I have an aversion to. It worked for a place to sleep but not more than 1 night.

A very nice quiet location. the rooms were super clean and comfortable. Staff was very friendly.

Fire alarm went off no less than 10 times over the course of the stay. Early, late…woken up more times than I can count. They knew it was a broken sensor for several days and just kept bypassing the alarm without checking or providing fire watch which is in direct violation of building and occupancy codes. I know bc I watched them do it while demanding a refund. NO HOT TUB. And there never will be. It is full of concrete. So the listing lies. We left early. Might need to go back sadly they are the only game in town even with the dwindling quality. How sad. The sheer and “blanket” are thin and don’t insulate. The pillows are smashed and do nothing. Towels are fine. Finally agreed to a refund and tried to scam by charging for fewer days as soon as I left the counter.

Property well taken care of, quiet area.

Generally very pleasant. We did take the back stairs (west side nearest Sullivan’s) and it looks like those have not been vacuumed in a while

The room was fine. The problem was the coffee and breakfast. The first day breakfast of eggs, sausage, potatoes were cold when they served it. I was there when they put it out. I had a plate of food withen 2 minutes. I had to put in microwave. I seen several other people do the same thing. I said something to the front desk when I returned in afternoon. They said they would talk to who puts it out. I also said both the coffee containers contained cold coffee. The one in lobby and where you eat at. Several people were also microwaving there coffee. they said they would talk to someone on it. The next morning was the exact same issues. I said something again. The 3rd morning the breakfast was a little warmer but I still needed to microwave it. The coffee was the worst this day. Tasted like it was in the container for days, and it was still cold, Both the lobby one and the eating area one. I did not say anything on this, I figured it was just a waste of time. I have read other reviews on thier breakfast it seems like it has been like this for awhile.

Is it okay hotel for the price

We stay here every year for the Galena Halloween Parade. Hotel looks great after the renovation a few years ago.
