Majestic Oasis Apartments

More like a motel experience than a house rental.

Not a great value proposition. House rentals typically offer much more for a similar or lower price.

We stayed at the apartments twice. The location is great (near the main shopping precinct). The apartment was OK, but overall it’s more like a motel experience than a house rental.

With a king bed or two singles in the bedrooms, space is extremely tight (where do you put your bags?). The living area boasts a coach (with a fold out mattress). However, the design of the coach is such that sitting on it is very uncomfortable - there is no support underneath and one needs to use 2 cushions to make sitting on the couch viable. While the property boasts free wifi, it is shared amongst all of the (many) units on the property. We attempted to use a streaming service on the internet-enabled TV but found it unusable. Overall, the property is quite expensive for what you get. It’s not a terrible place to stay, but not a great value proposition.

This is our second visit in the last couple of weeks and been very happy both times. On our second visit, the staff couldn’t have been more helpful upgrading is to a sea view room after I inadvertently booked another room. Thanks.

Some units are starting to look a bit knocked about but are wonderfully clean and comfortable.

Dieter Hentschel 22.06.2026 Further to our recent booking at the Majestic Oasis Apartments in Port Augusta, Booking number 6534397261. The Management requested a $50.00 bond, which we were not aware of when we booked through Booking.com. My Wife paid the bond with her Credit Card. My Wife has not been aware of any issues, and the bond has not been credited back to our Credit Card account. We have been in contact with Oasis Apartment; however, we have not yet been reimbursed. I recommend that Booking.com should make Customers aware if bonds are required for certain establishments. Dieter Hentschel
