Bath towel are not good, bath items not kept in room.

I attended this property on the selected confirmed booking date after a flight from Goa to be told that my room was not confirmed and had been given to anothet guest who arrived an hour before me. When speaking to the host they stated that to make sure the booking was confirmed we had to pre pay the whole amount before arrival, even though when booking it and getting confirmation it stated no pre payment needed, pay at property and not even a debit card was required to book it. I was sent numerous messages on booking.com from the property stating that my booking wasn't confirmed until I paid the full amount but they did not provide a way to do this. When I tried to contact them over 5 times they kept re-sending the same copy and paste message saying I needed to pay before arrival and if not my booking would be cancelled. I kept trying to contact them stating the time I would be arriving and that the booking states pay at property, thus confirming my stay. So when arriving late in the evening to be told I did not have a room even though it clearly showed on booking.com that my room was confirmed the host stated that booking.com was the one that cancelled and not them. However, this was not true as they sent a message to me stating my booking had been cancelled as per my request (which I did not request) and then said that they hadn't cancelled the room. The host was completely un helpful and was lying saying booking.com cancelled the room not them when booking.com still showed the confirmation of my room. They should not advertise no pre payment needed if they are then going to essentially threaten people to pay all the money before arriving otherwise they'll cancel their booking and then not give you a way to pay if before arrival or answer any emails, phone or through booking.com. Completely avoid this place, there's certainly something dishonest going on.
