Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Vernon by IHG

This place was good ! Excellent breakfast, but renovations were happening . Our room could use an upgrade . I would love to see no carpet in rooms . Staff were wonderful!

Good location for visiting the Okanagan Valley. A large and comfortable room.

The hotel was under construction and was loud during the day. Parking was horrible as not enough spots for guests. The breakfast was really good and the cleaning staff were very helpful!

Rooms were assigned on the third floor even though rooms were under construction and hallways were filled with equipment, beds, etc. The hallway was dirty and barely passable. Rooms had electrical problems and friends had to change room 3 times. One guest on oxygen and had to plug in to use his oxygen equipment. Front clerk desk not helpful. Did not even check to see if we could get a room closer to our friends and due to multiple room changes a chair from one room was moved to another. The next day I asked the front desk clerk to have the chair returned to the original room. She responded that she would take care of that right away. Several hours later I asked one of the cleaners if I could get the chair and she took me to the room so I could return it. Finally, the parking lot was full on our return from a wedding reception due to multiple containers used for the renovation taking up parking spaces and a large bus that seemed to be used for storage? Both disabled parking passes were full.

Room was roomy and bed was excellent

I forgot to write this review when we made our trip across Canada but I am leaving it now because I was reminded of this hotel recently. We were had a terrible experience the night before at another hotel and the staff at holiday inn express in vernon changed the trajectory of the trip for us. Allowed late check out, helped us with directions and obviously cared about their jobs which is not easy to find these days.

The light above the sink doesn’t work,bathroom fan stays on all the time

Convenient local off the highway. Many restaurants close by.

We liked the service. The room was in need of repair ie), bathroom door handle kept popping off, beds were squeaky.
