"Weekend Getaway "

We enjoyed our stay due to the proximity of Lake Guntersville! The hotel was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. I booked the room through Hotels.com. The hotel is in the beginning stages of a complete renovation which is definitely needed to compete with other hotels in the area. I was given a handicap room on the 1st floor which I did not request. I was offered another room after I questioned them about the room. I love the area and would love to visit again when the renovation is complete.

I recently stayed at the Hampton Inn in Guntersville, Alabama. Everything and everyone was great; excellent service, excellent customer service and support, and accommodations for my disability were good. Only one thing that I would suggest is putting a less tall mattress on the bed. I had some trouble transferring from my wheelchair onto the mattress as it was too tall. Other than that, I will definitely stay there again and highly recommended them to to others!!

Some of the staff were friendly, courteous, and glad that you were their guest. The bed was comfortable.

Some of the staff were rude. Some of the staff were observed smoking less than 10 feet from the main entrance. Saw two different kinds of insects in our room. Only one elevator was working, the other one was constantly jerking, and the inspection certificate was out of date. Waste containers in the room had no liners, were very dirty, and had a bad odor.
