Altos Hôtel & Spa

2 night stay, easy trip to Mont St Michel. Hotel only a short walk from town centre. No staff in hotel after 10.30pm sat and 4.30pm sun. You have to let yourself in. On returning from our trip on sun we let our self in, we needed a drink but were unable to have 1 in the hotel, no staff. We used the toilet in our room and it overflowed. We rang the number on the front door and was told they would get back to us. They did but only to tell us to get the keys for another room on the reception and move into there.I was not really to happy about that, but i got the keys so we could use the toilet, but was not going to move as we were leaving in the morning and we needed to clean up so we could go down to the town for a drink and something to eat. The boiled eggs for breakfast were brought in by 1 of the staff in the morning, but unfortunately they were freezing cold, like they had been in the fridge all night.

Friendly and helpful staff. The room was very clean and comfortable. The shower was also clean The room had plenty of power points for charging phones etc It is on a main road but as our room was the back there were no issues for noise. It is a way out from the cnyre of town but ideal for driving to mont St Michael. Breakfast nothing special though

The hotel is far away from any atractions, but if you don't mind driving, it is in a very good location to visit either Bayeux, Mont St Michel, Rennes or Avranges itself. Good breakfast, free for children and the room for 4 was very comfortable.

It was a very last minute trip and we only stayed one night, but the hotel was just what we needed. Clean room, comfortable bed, and affordable. The receptionist was also extremely friendly and helpful!

What a lovely hotel. I was welcomed with a friendly smile by the extremely helpful staff. My room was well decorated in a very modern style. It was clean and fresh. The room was cleaned each day and the bed was made. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was nice and clean, plenty of hot water. Clean towels etc every day. The breakfast was very good, there was a good selection of freshly cooked croissants etc. The bar area is welcoming and is a relaxing place to sit. The staff and the manager were very helpful and polite, they all spoke English which is helpful. I stayed here for 5 nights and got to know the staff. Parking is good off the road and secure for my motorcycle. Its location is good for St Mont Michel, and beaches. If there was a 6 star rating for hotels this is the place that deserves it. The town of Avranches is interesting. There's an ancient castle and plenty of shops. There are a few places to eat. There's supermarkets nearby too. Great for the Normandy D Day beaches. St Malo, Granville I recommend. I can not find any fault at all with my stay I was saddened to leave. I have stayed in many hotels most have been great but the Altos outshines them all. I will be using the Altos again. I highly reccomend

We were a group of 9 who stayed at Hotel Altos for one night. All the rooms were comfortable, and the Wi-Fi worked well. Breakfast was comparable in price to other French hotels, but a fuller buffet.

Comfortable hotel on the south side of Avranches meaning you can be up and on the road with minimum delay. A trip to Mont St Michel (before the crowds) is a great diversion if you have the time. Excellent private car park (5e) which is secured by a coded gate at night.
