Great location great people

Hello, My fiance' Nicole and I stayed at the Poseidon Hotel in late July into August and had an OUTSTANDING EXPERIENCE! Starting weeks prior to our stay, we interacted with the concierge at the hotel to arrange airport transportation, dinner reservations, boat charter to Capri and other suggestions. They were so prompt, professional and enthusiastic on my endless emails asking what to do and where to go. I have to say the customer service got even better (if you can believe it) in person when we arrived. EVERYONE on their staff was so accomodating and friendly and knew our names after the first day. We spent every pre-dinner and post dinner at the pool area which has the greatest view you can imagine. The servers were fabulous welcoming us back each time. Great complimentary snacks with the drinks made the experience even better. Breakfast every day, which was included, was fantastic as well. Omelette chef along with fresh squeezed vegetable and orange juice. We had lunch one day and a great dinner on our last night. So many people from other hotels come to the pool and the restaurant. We have traveled all over the world and stayed at the Ritz, Four Seasons, etc...the service at Hotel Poseidon was even better!

A Truly Special Stay at Hotel Poseidon – July 2025 We had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Poseidon in Positano from July 20–24, and it was nothing short of incredible. This historic property exudes charm and elegance, and every detail—from the decor to the service—reflects a deep pride in hospitality. From the moment we arrived, we were treated with exceptional care. Jesse, Christian, and Margarita and the entire team went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. Jesse, in particular, offered fantastic recommendations for dining and activities that truly enhanced our experience in this beautiful town. The breakfast was excellent—delicious options served with absolutely breathtaking views of the coast. The hotel’s location is ideal, just a short walk from many popular spots in Positano, yet still feels like a peaceful retreat from the crowds. Hotel Poseidon is truly magical! My husband and I have been lucky enough to stay here twice now—our second time just this year—and it honestly feels like coming home. From the moment you arrive, you’re greeted with the warmest smiles and treated like family. The staff are so kind, attentive, and genuinely invested in making your stay unforgettable. The food is absolutely delicious, and every meal feels like a special occasion, if it be for their delicious complementary breakfast or lunch and dinner at their restaurant, Il Tridente. The rooms have such a lovely Italian charm to them with the decorations, and are comfortable and very clean. And the location? Perfect. You’re right in the heart of Positano, but the hotel feels like its own peaceful retreat. The pool deck is my absolute favourite place to be—so relaxing, with the most beautiful, sweeping views of the Amalfi Coast. It’s a spot I think about long after I leave. We’ve decided that whenever we come to Positano, we will only stay at Hotel Poseidon. It’s not just a hotel—it’s an experience we’ll treasure forever.

My wife and I travel quite a bit, but rarely have we found a hotel with the beauty and professionalism that the Hotel Poseidon demonstrates. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and beautiful. The staff could not have been nicer; always making us feel welcome and at home. Fiorenzo, at the front desk was always ready to help with suggestions on how to make our day and evenings enjoyable in Positano. Rachelle, greeted us each morning with a smile as we arrived for a lush breakfast. You could not be more comfortable in any Postitano hotel. Poseidon is listed as a 4 star hotel, but in our opinion it is absolutely a 5 star hotel.

Beautiful hotel with stunning views of Positano. The service at the hotel was excellent. Breakfast included was delicious. We couldn’t have had a better experience, enjoyed every minute!

Everything was fantastic. This hotel pays attention to details, which is harder and harder to come by these days. Thank you and see you next time!

Too Old

Our Junior suite was a really great room. Very spacious and nice view of the water. The staff were all exceptionally friendly and helpful. The restaurant, Il Tridente, was also delicious.
