The smell from the renovation was not good

Everything was fresh clean and new! The staff was inviting at check in and check out. Breakfast was great and coffee was fresh. The only thing I’d change is the showerhead and water temp. The shower head is like chasing water to find the stream and the water wasn’t close to hot. Other than that great stay!

Property was close to our activities. Hopefully renovations will be done soon. Staff was excellent

I was surprised, when looking over the reviews on Tripadvisor, to see that one review from October 2024 (a year ago) said that the hotel was being remodeled. When we checked in, we were also told that the hotel was being remodeled currently. But, looking at the foyer or the breakfast area, and in the hallways and our room, nothing appeared to be recently remodeled. Our main complaint is that the "musty/dirty carpet/pet dander odor" in the room was overwhelming! We asked to be moved to another room. The receptionist granted our request without any problems, but did state that the new room will be on the same floor. As, we went up the elevator I told my husband that probably means it’s going to smell bad, too. It did! The exact same odor! It was very late in the evening, bedtime, too late to attempt to find another hotel. I gave 2 stars for the super comfortable bed and bedding, and for the receptionists, they were very nice and personable. The odor was so bad, no matter how clean the bed or bathroom looked, it gave the impression of the room being very dirty.
