Americas Best Value Inn Beaumont, CA

I paid a bit more for a suite because I arrived early in the morning and nothing was ready yet.Overall it was a pleasant stay.My daughter and I were visiting family and stayed over the weekend at the Hotel.

Where do I start? From the moment I arrived I noticed several unsavory characters loitering about in the parking lot. I watched a drug deal go down before I ever got my room key. I had already paid for 3 nights. When I asked the person at the desk if I could get a refund for at least the next 2 nights, I was told that I would have to contact Expedia since I booked through them. I contacted Expedia and explained to them that I feared for my safety. They said they would have to contact the motel to see about a refund. So here I am three days later as I write this review with no resolution. I had to stay in the dump for three days, fearful to even leave my room. The last night was the worst. Beating and banging and door slamming and glass breaking all night long. Plain and simply the worst experience I’ve ever had in all of my travels. The motel is located in not the best of neighborhoods. The room itself was barely acceptable. The electric outlets or one side of the bed did not work. The tiles surrounding the tub and the window in the bathroom were very dirty. The water pressure was terrible and you’ll hit your head on the shower head if you’re and more than 5 feet tall. The place is just old and really needs to be taken off of this site. Very unsatisfactory experience all around. Shame on Expedia for even recommending it.

This place is a total dump. It's dirty, smelly, rundown and outright dangerous. After staying here it seems clear that any of the 5 star reviews are fake or paid for. I wish I had checked Yelp before booking. The neighborhood feels sketchy but worse the building itself is hazardous. I'm a trained building inspector and found evidence of potential active leaks which causes harmful mold to grow and unpleasant odors in the room. Beyond that I noticed that the electrical panel in the room is an outdated recalled panel that can pose a serious fire risk. The bed was also tacod and uncomfortable and the paper thin walls/ceiling allow you to hear all the shenanigans of the other rather colorful inhabitants who were quite active until around 4am. The front desk guy (I'm assuming the owner) is shady as can be, requiring pet fees be paid by cash only, a practice I've never seen at any other hotel... Ever. And he doesn't honor the fact that the pet fees were already paid when booking the room. I complained to Sonesta about it and they agreed that the cash only policy is abnormal so they are going to be looking deeper into this concern. And they (Sonesta) changed the price of the overall stay on their end to remove their pet fees, but upon checking my credit card history I found that he gave me a receipt showing the adjusted price, but he still wound up charging the full price which means we double paid for the pet fee. We're not talking large amounts of cash since we only stayed one night, but it's not the money that bothers me, it's how poorly maintained, dishonest and crooked the establishment is run. Lastly, the breakfast offered is a joke. With Twinkies, pop tarts and old damaged fruit and literally spoiled milk for the cereal. Don't Stay Here!! But if you want to try and save a buck check the reviews on Yelp first, I wish I had before we booked it, they appear to be more accurate and not bloated with a bunch of fake and dishonest reviews.

Clean and cozy place . I just hated the light turning on and off at any given time. That was a little eerie. For a second there we thought it haunted 😂

Very good service, complied with my preference for a first floor room, room was clean and comfortable, with both a refrigerator and microwave oven, which I appreciated.

I enjoyed staying at America's Best value inn in Beaumont, California great customer service front desk is always polite and nice quick snack in the morning and I just enjoyed & loved the quietness very peaceful THANK U hotels.com 😊
