Ramada by Wyndham Sparta/At Speedway

My family and I had an extremely disappointing experience at this Ramada location. Upon arrival, we were not greeted in a friendly manner. The front desk employee’s only words to us during check-in were, “Name?” While checking in, I immediately noticed dehumidifier boxes throughout the property, a strong musty odor, and signs stating that the pool was out of service. The indoor pool was the primary reason we chose this hotel, as it is advertised as an amenity. As we looked around, we noticed very dirty floors and walls, which made us uncomfortable about staying. We decided not to check in and requested a refund. The front desk staff were rude throughout the process, whispering to each other, rolling their eyes, and acting as though I was an inconvenience for asking questions. While on the phone with Booking.com to discuss the cancellation, we were sitting outside near our vehicle and noticed fleas jumping on us from the grass. When I went back inside to continue discussing the cancellation, I watched a stray cat walk into the lobby through a back door. There were also food and water bowls placed around the property. Both my son and I have severe cat allergies, making this especially concerning. The Booking.com representative spoke directly with the hotel manager, who stated that he would approve the refund once he returned to the office the following day. When I called the next day, the manager personally assured me that he would issue the refund and send the necessary approval to Booking.com as soon as our call ended. It has now been several days. I have left multiple messages and received no return calls. Booking.com has confirmed that no refund approval has been sent and no refund has been issued. Between the poor cleanliness, unavailable advertised amenities, rude customer service, concerns about fleas and stray animals on the property, and the manager’s failure to follow through on repeated promises, this was one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had. I would not recommend this property to anyone.

We paid online & ended up having to repay totaling 325$ for one night! The lady at front desk said she doesn’t make the rules she just follows them. No one from booking.com reached out after I tried to contact them nor anyone available at the location of the hotel.

Staff was super friendly and helpful

We don’t normally stay in places with plastic forks but it was ok for our purposes and as expected. A little worn and moldy but good for a highway break when you need to sleep

This was the last overnight stay a friend and I visited while on a Memorial Day trip. The room was very clean; the beds were comfortable; and the restroom was in good condition. The employees were very friendly and professional. It was a good place for an overnight stay.

Breakfest was not very good. No meat of any kind. Such as sausage, bacon, ham. No fruit .. Road leading up tp the hotel was very BAD Needs repaved.
