Travelodge by Wyndham New Philadelphia

Roach motel. The dirt and grime all over the walls, doors and tables was disgusting. I laid my own blanket on top of the bed to sleep on. Carpet might as well be a dirt floor with all the grime on it. Water pressure sucks. Bathroom door half off the hinges. Fulltime residents are most of the guests.

This place is terrible I had 400 dollars stolen from me and I called the franchise they directed me to talk to a women and she was extremely rude and told me that I signed a paper saying anything lost/stolen is not their responsibility… then be proceeded to laugh when u told her that the money stolen was what I needed to feed my child … 2 weeks later and I still don’t have my money back or answer as to what happened bc all they told me is that I misplaced it bc f there employees are not thieves even though there are multiple other reviews saying otherwise !!!

Room was clean and smelled fresh. Nice amount of towels. Pool was nice but a bit small for too many to use at one time. Breakfast was great with hot waffles and coffee. Nice local area with many places to eat in walking distance Denny's and Starbucks are just two.

We stayed in this Wyndham property while at a 4 day event in the area. The desk attendant was very nice. We were in room 122. Everything was very beat up & worn. Nasty scratches & stains on the sink. Cigarette burns on the blanket. The shower head was horrible, the water spray was painful on my body & I couldn't get it to not spray like that. The pressure was so high that the bathroom floor got very wet. The room had a very musty smell & I noticed that some of my belongings now smell like that here at home. The AC unit cooled the room but didn't seem to dehumidify. 90+ degrees outside, so maybe that's normal? A pile of cigarette butts ouside the door, which the desk lady cleaned up when my husband complained of the odor entering & leaving the room. There was the common carb breakfast, which we didn't eat, but it was there. Cereal, toast, coffee. Waffle machine, no idea if it worked. A carafe of hot water, so I could make my tea. I have seen reviews of high end hotels that show bugs, dirt & stains. I think the room was basically clean, the linens were clean, the bed comfortable. It just looked pretty bad. I probably should have requested trying another room that didn't smell musty, but I was lazy. Also, a plus, 2 great restaurants within walking distance Hog Heaven (Bryce a great & competent server) & El San Jose Mexican. Also the frig didn't freeze my food items, which has happened lately in a couple 'nicer, more $$" hotels!

Breakfast is included in the cost of the room, so there should be BREAKFAST available! Go to Walmart and buy some fruit and individally wrapped muffins and honey buns or lower the rates by at least $20. The staff were all exceptional!

NEVER stay here. Use your points elsewhere. NOT updated, no breakfast, lots of DOGS, people fighting, just not worth it at all. So I have to leave a review that is at least 200 characters and this is just a stupid way of getting heard. KEEP YOUR POINTS and watch how you use them. This Travelodge is not worth a penny!

The staff is very helpful and nice. It would be nice to have more for breakfast. New carpet looks nice just need new bedding and furniture but for the price it was nice. Walking distance of some stores and restaurants

This was a Anniversary trip to The Amish Country. We enjoy staying in New Philadelphia. We’ve stayed at Travel lodge every time because it convenient to many restaurants and shopping that is so close to the hotel.

Not the cleanest room. Burn marks on bed spread. The chair had questionable stains on it. Window someone write clean me on it, bathroom was swept and shower had dusty dirt in it. But great water pressure. It was ok for a quick overnight stay.

Was there for an event. No frills hotel. Minimal amenities. Clean bed but could use carpets cleaned and updated. Ladies at desk were very nice and easy check in. Cheap stay and I would stay again.
