456 Embarcadero Inn & Suites

We awakened on the morning of February 11, at the 456 Embarcadero room 203, at 6:00 am to no hot water for showering and no phone service to contact staff. At 08:00 am, (when the office is open) I talked with the office clerk making her aware of not having hot water in my room. The office clerk responded that “it’s cold out and when it’s this cold the pipes freeze, this is common here.” Give it an hour and the hot water will be running. My response was “it’s not below freezing here” it was 52 degrees out. The office clerk shrugged her shoulders as oh well. Really? This is what to expect in Embarcadero’s hospitality service?? I have been coming here for over 7 years and always been treated with exceptional service. We went out for the day returning at 1:46 pm, still no hot water or phone service. Again I approached the office reception desk addressing these issues (you need the room phone to reach the office/off grounds staff). The office clerk said she will contact maintenance again? When we returned to our room (4:30pm) we had hot water but still no phone service. We have been coming to Embarcadero for well over 7 years and have never been disappointed. Perhaps this was just a fluke, freezing pipes above 40 degrees. Management should have the plumbing inspected. Upon check in, we got upgraded to a rather large room in third floor with a really great view of Morro Bay. Awesome !!! Because it’s a Sunday, not all restaurants are open, or maybe because it’s past 6pm when we started looking for food that some have already closed or open only for lunch. We didn’t have time to research but it would be wise to do so. We made lots of stops on the way from Sacramento so it’s a late arrival for us. When booking, ask for 3rd floor room if water view is desired. Also, rooms don’t have AC and since it’s winter we just left balcony door open and enjoy fresh air.

Honestly really loved the property it’s right there little walk to everyone I had an amazing view super welcoming and comfortable I would definitely go again!

Only thing I didn’t not like that wasn’t to much of an issue is not having breakfast there

The view was beautiful, the room was super clean and nice and walking distance from everything

The recently renovated room was light, spacious, clean, simple and modern, without being trendy. Balcony had a pleasant view of the harbor. Parking under the building is a plus, as your car is sheltered from rain and sea mist.

No chair in the room, even though the room was easily large enough. Only option was to sit on the bed or at the table outside on the balcony.
