Hodnett Cooper's Beach Club

Great place to stay on St Simons. Right on the beach but also walking or bike riding distance to restaurants, shops, and local attractions.

We really enjoyed our stay and the location was great. Close to restaurants and shops. Once we reached our room we were pleasantly surprised at the room set up and all that was furnished with it. The view was very nice as well. However, the fact that no one is in the office after 5:30 made things difficult for us. We didn't know where to go or where to park or how to get to our room. We placed a call and left a message but it took them two days to return our call. Fortunately for us, we saw a man walking around who told us basically where to park and how to get to our room. The only other thing is that I felt the floors and bathrooms could use a good cleaning. We enjoyed our time there and it's right on the beach with a nice pool and two hot tubs and beautiful scenery.

Selected this Condo for a business trip. This condo was advertised as waterfront and the pictures online appeared very nice. The room and hotel was incredibly outdated. The main halls of felt like a Stephen King experience- low ceilings and dreary outdated decor. When we walked in the room, the smell of raw fish was overwhelming. At first we thought it was from the beach, only to find later it was just the room. We invested $50 on candles and fragrance to try to tolerate the smell. We requested to move, however there were no other options available. The room decor and appliances were outdated. The blankets and sheets were dirty and stained. The floors were so sticky you couldn't walk barefoot. The kitchen smelled like raw fish and there was construction next door that lasted through the evening. None of this was advertised. We away overpaid for this experience Pretty 1/2 ocean view from the room, however the negatives outweigh that. Will stay someplace else next time.
