Vamar Vallarta All Inclusive Marina and Beach Resort

This was our first stay at the Vamar Vallarta, which we chose mainly for the location in the Marina area. We had an issue with the first room we were assigned, and after looking at two other room options, my wife and I were reassigned to a larger room with twin beds and a balcony with a view. We were very thankful for Fabian at the front desk who listened to our concerns, then took this opportunity to remedy the situation, and move us into a room more appropriate to our needs for our week stay. We were so pleased Fabian made things right, that we do not feel compelled to focus on the room problems, opting instead to highlight the favourable solution Fabian and the hotel staff provided us. We appreciate your thoughtfulness and the positive solution. We were so pleased our situation was remedied positively that my wife and I were able to completely focus on enjoying our week at the Vamar Vallarta rather than worry about room problems. Thank you for focusing on our peace of mind! We only ate at the Marina side buffet restaurant, and found there were more than adequate food options to meet our breakfast, lunch and dinner needs. Of specific note are the soups available at lunch and dinner - absolutely delicious! There are two a la carte restaurants at Vamar Vallarta, but we didn't book into either and for this reason are unable to comment on either venue. The staff in the buffet restaurant and the lobby bar share a friendly disposition and excellent sense of humour, and were consistently helpful and professional. Our interactions with hotel staff were consistently characterized as friendly, kind, helpful, and often humourous too! We thoroughly enjoyed the positive camaraderie among staff and hotel guests - a very positive attribute which we completely appreciate. I must also mention Miguel, Bellman Captain, for his ever present kindness and eagerness to help us obtain the best possible experience at the Vamar Vallarta. Interestingly we found these positive personality characteristics in Miguel's fellow Bellmen, which was very refreshing and appreciated by my wife and I, and our fellow hotel guests. My wife and I chose the Vamar Vallarta so we could totally unplug and enjoy a stress-free week focusing on relaxing at the circular pool on the Marina side of the property, or at the pool and/or beach on the Bay of Bandaras side of the property, and only concern ourselves with reading our books, enjoying the quiet, and taking in the amazing views of the Marina or the Bay of Banderas. Finished 7 days at the Vamar Vallarta in late December 2025. What a hidden gem! The online ratings seemed to bounce between 3 and 4 stars. I’d say high 3 for sure! It’s a bit unique with 2 parts to the property- the marina side and the beach side (villas). Each side has 2 pools (one was called adults only on the marina side, but we saw kids there and it was never too busy that was an issue). We stayed in a 3BR master on the marina side. The room was huge - basically a converted 3 bedroom apartment with the master suite with it’s own bathroom and 2 balconies!. Views of both the ocean and the marina. We had a few minor issues with the room (the bathroom sinks don’t have P-traps so there’s sometimes a little whiff of sewer gas) but any time we mentioned it, the concierge staff were all over it. Miguel, Juan and Jorge were exceptional - 4 star service! The rooms don’t have beer or liquor in them but we did ask the housekeeping staff for bottled water and every morning we were restocked! The food might have been the best we’ve ever had at an all-inclusive in Mexico. The buffet (marina side) was open for breakfast, lunch and a feature dinner each night. There was always 1-2 hot stations (fresh quesadillas, breakfast tacos etc) AND the omelette / egg station for your cooked-to-order choice. Omelettes were excellent! Only other restaurant on marina side was Magallenes which is open for à la carte breakfast, and Italian at night - also excellent! At the beach side, there’s a snack bar with made to order pizza and tacos. Tacos were so good!! The seafood grill is ocean front and offers steak, pasta and seafood. Fantastic food and service - and what a view! Bar staff were so friendly - David, Giovanni and all the bartenders were great. They post a menu of all the available bevvies. Try em all! Entertainment staff was also really good! Jorge was our fav followed closely by Jesus and Tyler! It’s a short ride to airport. About 20 minutes to Malecon. It was about $9CAD to cab to Malecon or you could take the bus (10 pesos a person). Uber prices swung with how busy it was. You have to catch Uber off airport (across the pedestrian bridge) but it’s a short walk (bit of an incline). Uber can drop you off at terminal. We didn’t see a lot of Canadians which was different but the ones we did run into agreed with our review. Really great place to vacation!

We just got back from Vamar and loved it! From the pictures it is hard to tell but there are actually two sides to the resort - one side has the big pool used in most photos and faces the marina where you can watch the boats go out, and gets shadier earlier in the day and the other side has two mid-size pools and faces the ocean with a strip of beach and longer direct sun on the pools. It was great to have these options and flexibility each day. A few highlights: - the snack bar tacos are LEGIT! So delicious - we ate them every day - overall the staff are super friendly and helpful - Edmundo was our fave bartender, Jorge in Activities and the lady at the omelette station (wish I knew her name!) was incredible - location! Super close to the airport. Only a 20 min drive to Zona Romantica, and a stones through to lots of restaurants, shops and sports bars in the Marina. I did upgrade to the superior room and it was huge! Lots of space to spread out all our beach outfits ;-) If I were to give negatives I would say #1 was the water pressure in the showers. A small issue, but definitely a pain when you have thick hair ha ha. Other than that we found it a bit noisy throughout the night but that could also just happen to be the neighbours we had. We will absolutely go back to Vamar and will recommend it to friends and family. If you are hesitant, just book it. Excellent value for the price comparatively to other resorts around the same. Worse hotel experience The food is terrible, honestly close to inedible. If you’re booking thinking this is a true all-inclusive, it’s not. There are only two restaurants, and you’ll likely end up eating outside the hotel. The beach is very small and rocky, not suitable for walking. This isn’t the hotel’s fault it’s mine for not trusting the reviews. Learn from my mistake: read the reviews and believe them.And I arrived at the hotel and No hot water for shower for two days !

Our fist time staying at the Vamar Vallarta. It was an excellent stay. Hotel is clean, Staff is friendly and helpful. The resort was very quiet during the week. Always a chair available at the pools. Fernada at the buffet was the best. Always had a fresh glass of sauvignon blanc flavoured water:). The food at the buffet was always fresh and flavourful. There was a different theme every night.

We had a wonderful time at Vamar Vallarta Resort. The location, amenities, and food were excellent. The staff was friendly and helpful, especially the front desk team—Jorge and Fabian—who took the time to greet us and explain everything. We just wanted to say thank you for an excellent stay.

The service was really good the workers were very kind and welcoming. The new years show was incredible highly recommend coming.
