Wonderful resort in peaceful but energetic surroundings. Great restaurant with delicious food and a friendly staff!

It’s a good hotel, but honestly feels a bit overhyped for the price. The views are nice, but nothing unique—you’ll get similar views from most places in uptown Sedona. The rooms were comfortable, but not quite what you’d expect from a 4-star property. The staff stood out—they were friendly and welcoming, which was great to see. The main miss was breakfast. We had ordered it the day before, but it never showed up due to a “communication error.” Not a huge issue on its own, but at this price point, it adds to the overall feeling that the experience was just average.

Of all the places we booked for our road trip through Arizona, the Amara guest services was the best! I loved how I representative from the resort reached out to me several times before our stay to help us with recommendations and ensure we were all set for our arrival. The resort in room was very cozy and luxurious, and we loved that we had a second floor balcony view of the courtyard and pool with the red rock in the background. The Amara is also on a creek and it’s nice to walk the trail. We were only here for a two night stay and weren’t able to take advantage of the beautiful infinity pool, but we hope to come back in the future and use more of the amenities. Great visit!

I booked a 2-night stay at Amara Resort, paying almost $1,300, but the experience has fallen far short of expectations. We are so dissatisfied that we have decided to cut our trip short and are leaving today. 1. Misleading Patio View (See Photo): The room I received is nothing like the advertisements. The "patio" looks out onto a concrete wall and a driveway. What am I supposed to do on a patio like this? It’s disappointing to pay such a high price only to stare at building infrastructure instead of Sedona’s beauty. 2. Cramped Space & Limited Storage: The room is remarkably small for the price, with only one chair provided for two adults. Furthermore, the mini-fridge and the space above it are so packed with retail items that there is very little room to place our own personal belongings or snacks. 3. The Fire Pit Issue: The fire pit, which should be a relaxing amenity for hotel guests, was completely taken over by restaurant patrons. The area was filled with their food and drinks, leaving absolutely no space for my family to sit or enjoy the facility. As a paying guest, I felt completely displaced. 4. Unprofessional Service: I called the front desk to discuss my concerns, was placed on hold for 15 minutes, and then the call was simply disconnected without a follow-up or apology. This hotel is very different from the advertisements; it is far too cramped and uncomfortable for a family. I will not be returning.

My husband and I celebrated our 45th Anniversary at the SaltRock Southwest Kitchen. The food, the service and especially the atmosphere was perfect ! We ate outside and had a beautiful view of Sedona’s Red Rocks. Our waiter - Sebastian went above and beyond to make sure we had a wonderful meal and enjoyed our visit to SaltRock. He gave excellent recommendations to help us choose our entrees. With servers like Sebastian I wish I could give more than 5 stars !!!

Excellent stay. Staff was outstanding especially Valentina and others.

Great Hotel with amazing service. We loved our corner view room with our two balconies. We ate at Salt Rock Southwest Kitchen twice for breakfast and Valentina was amazing!
