The property is old and poorly maintained. My room felt outdated, the bed was uncomfortable, and the bathroom had a persistent bad smell. It was also full of mosquitos and flies, which was very unpleasant.

reception and handling at Jeti Merang. Make this stay feels no exclusive at all despite the rate / value paid for stay over at this Taaras. No coordination, regular boat yet 2 or 3 times the normal rate for other location. Taaras has to improve and learn from how Marriot Perhentian arrange for customer / client arriving even at jetty in mainland to their resort. Private boat, worth the money.. lounge, with all amenities provided for a 45-60mins journey. Luggage handling is bad.

I think the resort requires alot of upgrading. I dont think it is befitting of a 5-star title and its worn down in some areas. Our door couldnt lock even though they claim it auto locks so we just leave the doors unlocked as is, staff is very friendly and nice but ut wld be nice if they are given the knowledge and experience on the food being served when it comes to suggesting food to us.

Die Lage an diesem wundervollen Strand ist einmalig und wunderschön! Wir würden sofort wieder kommen! Vielen Dank für alles!
Das Abendessen im Restaurant Asean hätte besser sein können (vor allem bei diesen Preisen). Wir haben dasselbe Gericht in Penang 5x billiger erhalten und die Qualität war besser. Es ist klar, dass man erst alles auf die Insel bringen muss und das Essen teurer ist, aber für diesen Preis erwarte ich schon auch ein Level, welches einem 5* Resort entspricht. Aber dies ist Kritik auf hohem Niveau - es war ein magischer Aufenthalt.

The building is VERY tired and run down. Shower with very low pressure. Food not very good. For such an expensive place it was hugely disappointing and terrible value for money.
