Forest Suites Resort at Heavenly Village

The staff was amazing.The grounds were clean and the breakfast was good.

The rooms are in desperate need of renovation. We had one of the doorknobs, lock, an adult in a bathroom, and had to have maintenance come change the door handle. The beds felt like sleeping on air mattresses, and the room itself was visibly dirty... walls, baseboards and cobwebs around all of the lights. If it had not cost over $300 a night, I might have overlooked these things, but for that kind of money that level of dirt is unacceptable. We will NOT stay here again.

Although our stay was unexpectedly shortened due to a medical situation involving our 96-year-old mother, the staff and manager were exceptionally kind and understanding. They listened to our concerns, assisted us with the early check-out process, and showed genuine care for our family. We especially appreciated the manager’s thoughtful reminder to take good care of our mother before we left.

We had an enjoyable stay at Forest Suites Resort. The location is excellent—quiet, yet close to restaurants, shops, and other attractions. Our room had a nice view of the mountains and the gondola, which made the stay even more enjoyable. The one-bedroom suite was clean, spacious, and comfortable. Although the building is older, it has been remodeled and was generally pleasant. We also appreciated the complimentary wine, which was a nice touch. The weekday rates were very reasonable and offered good value for the location.

The room did not look exactly like the photos on the website. The photos make the rooms appear newer and more updated than they actually are. The breakfast was decent, but it would be much better if they offered waffles, pancakes, or both. I also noticed several maintenance issues. Some of the caulking and repair work looked unfinished, and many of the doors and cabinet doors squeaked. These are small issues, but they can be annoying, especially at night. Finally, the weekend rates can be quite expensive, and at those prices I don't think the property provides the same level of value. Overall, our room was clean and comfortable, and we enjoyed our stay. I would recommend Forest Suites Resort, particularly for a weekday visit when the rates are more reasonable.
