Hells Canyon Grand Hotel, an Ascend Collection Hotel

Large, quiet main room and bathroom. Comfortable beds. Delicious breakfast and great service throughout the meal. Liked that a day pass was provided to use at SNAP Fitness. Used it both days we were there. A short walk across the parking lot. Fully equipped fitness center.

The bathroom features--toilet needs updating. Very small and uncomfortable. Bathtub floor was slippery. Did not notice if a bathmat was provided.

Our spacious room had a very comfortable bed. The bathroom was modern with a massive mirror and lots of counter space. AC kept things cool despite the heat outside. We would stay here again.

Dinner was great.

Mostly I appreciated the staff. Good food, nice rooms, very helpful with all the river rafting issues.

Staff doesn't answer the phone, then they don't return your call when you're asked to leave a message and you ask them to call back when I needed help before I arrived. I went on a rafting trip, then came back for my car, apparently leaving my phone in the lobby or something. Then someone found my phone and turned it in after I had already left for home nearly 500 miles away. They sent me a message through Booking.com. Since I desperately need the damned thing back I left multiple messages begging them to respond ASAP, I'd pay the shipping. So far today that was four hours ago. NOTHING NOTHING NOTHING NOTHING NOTHING. I've had to get Booking.com involved. Even if I did have a phone to call them, they won't answer, so...really people? I can't drive seven hours all the way back, happy to pay shipping, but YOU WON'T RESPOND. If you want positive reviews here are two suggestions: ANSWER THE PHONE. RESPOND TO A REQUEST FOR A CALL BACK. As it was it took an intervention from Booking.com, it was more than 24 hours before anyone reached out. By that time I already had to buy another phone. Staff was very helpful once someone FINALLY realized I was trying to reach them. I cannot explain why nobody ever bothered to answer the telephone, or that nobody checked messages and never called back when I needed assistance at the front end. People leave things behind all the time, there is a process--but it most assuredly doesn't work if nobody checks messages, answers the phone or follows up. An otherwise very happy stay was marred by this experience.

Don't stay here!! Horrible just absolutely Horrible the front dest treated us so badly.. it was supposed to be a stress free get away and the gal at the front the face of the company was so off putting just out right rude didn't even nothing telling us the hotel offered anything fun once we asked where the pool was located she really said it was not her job to talk about the pool, but it was cloher.Job is a cheap one certainly shouldn't care about anything else and treated us like we were disgusting people.. When she could have said the hotel offered a gym that was in the same parking lot. We had to find out on her own.... just awful customer service horrible place thumbs down one hundred percent will never ever ever come back here again

Location, the resurants and pubs colocated to the hotel were fantastic.
