Het huis stond overvol met spullen. Daar is op zich niets mis mee, maar je vraagt je direct af hoe ze dat ooit schoon krijgen. Dat bleek ook wel, want aan de troep op de vloer te zien kan dat veel beter. De ramen in de slaapkamer en de badkamer konden niet open. Dat is verre van ideaal als je net hebt gedoucht, zeker omdat er ook geen afzuiging aanwezig was. Daarnaast rook het bed niet fris en was het huis ontzettend gehorig.

We came in fairly late, and we had never stayed here before. They were very accommodating. The room was really great. If you are into "knick-knacks," this is the place for you. They have a library that is very much like going into a very nice and fully stocked antiques store. The breakfast was nice, and it was served in a dining room area that had kitchen/dining room tables. It matched the feel of the rest of the house. The window for the hot breakfast was small, but they can accommodate the meal if your schedule doesn't match that window. The owners are very willing to talk about how the business came to be and the process they are continuing to go through as they collect the unique items on display all throughout the hotel.

A larger breakfast window for a hot breakfast would be convenient, but did not affect our schedule.

Our stay at The Big Yellow Inn was truly unforgettable—a hidden gem in Cedar City. We arrived around 7:30 p.m., and our host Barbara was still there to warmly welcome us, even helping with our luggage. From that moment, we felt less like guests and more like we had arrived home. The inn itself is beautiful, filled with exquisite antiques collected from the hosts’ travels around the world. Each room has its own unique theme, and it was such a joy exploring them. The hosts were incredibly kind and generous, even surprising us with a complimentary room upgrade that included a lovely balcony. Breakfast was another highlight—fresh, hot, and thoughtfully prepared, with a variety of fruits, cakes, bread, and delicious homemade casseroles. The coffee was excellent as well. We will absolutely return on our next visit.
