Hôtel Kyriad Cap Sud

Probably need a car for this hotel, but can do easily without as the bus coming from train or city centre stops right in front of the hotel. Big mall 5 min walking distance. Nice hotel, clean, staff is helpfull, even though their english wasn't excellent it was OK for all needed communication - after all, we should have spoken better French being in France :) Recommended place to stay.

VERY conscientious management. Good value. Within convenient bus distance from Avignon. Breakfast good value. Possible to walk to the supermarket. Good secure free car parking. Double glazing kept out all traffic noise.

All was well except the internet, which hardly worked: it was possible to read email, but impossible to send it (the connection was continually being lost).

if you do not want to pay parking and want a really cheap stay in Avignon -- you found it! However, this is less attractive option then motel 8 and if motel 6 in East LA does not bother you -- so wont this place. I did not regret staying there one night, but would prefer the other two hotels associated with this company next time!

We stayed here for a night on the way to Nice. The hotel was clean and the staff helpful. The location is out of the way and in a neighbourhood that seemed a little dodgy? I'd recommend it if only stopping in transit.

We were in Avignon just now in July during the theater festival. It's absolutely amazing! This hotel reminds me of a kibutz in Israel, small, nice, clean...the people are exceptionaly nice and helpful. The only inconvenience is that you are not in town at all and need to take the 10 minute bus ride in, but the bus stop is on the corner. Just be sure to ask when the last bus leaves from town..overall, a wonderful city and nice place, just a little out of the way.

The hotel is about 15 minutes by taxi out of the city. We booked a bit late so had no choice as the inner city hotels were booked. There is a bus service just outside the hotel but it is about every half hour. The bus service stops around 8 pm. Catching a taxi in AVIGNON is not easy as they are not many around. We had to go into a shop and asked the shopowner to ring for us so we could get back to the hotel.

This hotel is located outside of Avignon proper, just off a main road out of town. There is no road noise and there is a bus stop across from the entrance. It is small, clean, tidy and friendly. If you have a car, this is an ideal location. It is near a big modern shopping center and only 10 min. from downtown Avignon with its free parking at L'Italiennes (with free buses to the center of Avignon). I'm glad we stayed at Kyriad Cap Sud. Avignon in July was hot, crowded and noisy, since it was the time of their arts festival. The reception staff was extremely helpful with services and information. The lobby is open all night for after-dinner drinks, alcoholic and non-alcoholic. The breakfast, served in the same room is extra, as in many hotels, but reasonably priced and the selection was varied and ample. You can read the latest French news from their selection of newspapers or the TV and stay as long as you wish. Although the rooms averaged the size of an older American motel, for a small surcharge we were able to add a third person in the room and still not get in each other's way. The air conditioner was functioning perfectly in the hot weather we were having. The parking lot is gated and must be operated by a code at night. I would definitely go back there. I felt safe, comfortable and content. They have a small deck off the dining room that was perfect for hearing the cicadas singing in French and smelling the intoxicating lavender.

We went during the performance art festival, so we couldn't find a closer hotel. There is a nearby bus stop, but there is no bus info at the train station. The hotel is nestled in an industrial area, and we ended up in their "annex" down the street, which is actually the dormitary for a hotel school. It was a little eery walking down the street and into the empty campus, but the room itself was huge and very comfortable. It ended up being a good stay, once we figured out the buses and the Avignon festival was a blast.

We stayed an extra night as staff were so helpful. Room included a kettle and coffee etc which seems very rare in Europe but we enjoyed having. Short drive to Avignon centre and easy to find.
