Weetwood Hall Conference Centre & Hotel

I had 1 night here & was quite disappointed, perhaps my expectations were higher after reading other reviews & it being a 4 star hotel. I travel a lot & personally wouldn’t put it on par with other 4 star hotels. A lot of reviews mention how clean it was but I walked in to find the toilet seats up in the bathroom & obvious signs it had been used & not flushed properly. However, after a 3 hour drive, I needed it myself so whilst I regret not raising it at the time (partly as I didn’t feel particularly welcomed when I arrived), I simply couldn’t wait. The room was also very dusty & visibly so, perhaps from the room being vacant a while since its last clean? The kettle, spoon & glass (with greasy fingerprints) on the amenities tray were unclean & covered in dust too so put me off making a drink. The safe was in the corner of the room on the floor, it was locked shut & unable to be used. The room also stated it had a laptop workstation but as the only usable surface in the room, it was crowded & didn’t really leave much room for a laptop. The ratio of the wooden stool & height of the desk also meant you couldn’t work at the desk comfortably as the desk was a fair way above elbow height when seated. Despite the thin mattress topper, I could feel the springs of the mattress in the bed & there was also quite a bit of banging noises around midnight so didn’t make for the best sleep. I also wasn’t asked about my stay when I left or I would have raised some of these issues then.

Lovely stay and nice room but communal area carpets dirty and threadbare in places

Internet kept dropping as I moved around the property. Not experienved this anywhere else. Needs fixing

Very well run and very good standard and worth the money. My only criticism is that the drive leading to the property from Otley Road needs a contractor brought in to resurface - potholes are not good for welcoming guests quite apart from the potential damage to cars. Did say to reception who noted.

Whole hotel was spotless. Room was spacious and was actually able open a window on a hot evening where plenty of other don't have tgat option. Dom went above and beyond to make sure all our guests had everything they needed.

Very nice hotel

Quit and helpful staff. No air con in my room, had to leave the window open, close to road and vehicle noise. That said will be staying again when back in Leeds.
