DEÄlteres, aber gut gepflegtes, gediegenes Hotel, sehr ruhig direkt am Meer gelegen (leider kein Strand, Steinküste), einladende, saubere Zimmer, schöner Swimmingpool, freundlicher Service.
Lage ist etwas abseits, ca 3-4 km nach Miri-City, in der näheren Umgebung kaum Restaurants etc. Während des Ramadan (wir waren in der Zeit dort) werden nicht-muslimische Hotelgäste sehr nachrangig behandelt!! Das Dinner-Buffet wurde bevorzugt für muslimische Gäste angeboten, die von außerhalb kommen und nicht im Hotel wohnen. Man kann zwar auch a‘la Carte essen, aber das Angebot ist minimal und wenig ansprechend. Unsere Reise-Erfahrung während des Ramadans mit eigentlich sehr guten Hotels war fast durchweg negativ. Das abendliche „Fastenbrechen“ ist ein riesiger Umsatzbringer für die in dieser Zeit eher mäßig gebuchten Luxus-Hotels. Die wenigen nicht-muslimischen Gäste werden in den Hotel-Restaurants sehr stiefmütterlich behandelt.
BEVery good location at the ocean front. Pools and outside terraces are nice to spend time. They have friendly service. Hotel bar and coffee corner are a plus. Rooms are a bit outdated, but spacious and mostly with seaview. Good breakfast.
To enjoy things outside the hotel premises, a taxi or grab is needed.

Marriott Hotel management should have repair the broken tiles at the kids pool. My son sustained a deep and wide cut below his toe while getting out of the pool. We asked for plasters because blood kept flowing out. The housekeeping boy said the best they can do is to send us to the provate clinic. Just regret this happened to my 6 year old son.
