Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Mooresville - Lake Norman by IHG

The staff was amazing! Friendly, helpful and always eager to smile & chat! The breakfast is better than Cracker Barrel. I usually don't choose a Holiday Inn, my mind has been changed. Curious to see if the facilities hold up across locations!!

Check in was quick, front desk people super friendly and they always answer the phone. The breakfast was fresh and delicious, they even had free hotdogs, lemonade and popcorn. The room was trally clean and nice and the perfect size for our needs. Definitely gonna come back.

I specifically called down 2 days before checking in. I was told there was a hot tub when asked and that the pool was open. Both are in the site. First I was told on arrival that there was no hot tub. This is the first time we have been away in years and specifically requested this. Then I walked out to the Pool which was full of slime. They said people were in it yesterday. They did call a pool cleaner and yes, he came, but never left his truck and never cleaned the pool. It was very disappointing. The staff were so kind to trying to make things right, but we booked for 2 days and were leaving the next day. The breakfast was very nice and the other snacks offered. Just felt I wasn’t told the truth. I did book through a third party but the information was the same on both holiday inn express and the site I used. Also, the guests at the hotel next door kept trying to sneak in. Staff was on the ball but it was a little worrisome.

The staff went above and beyond to make my wife & I stay very enjoyable! We plan to only stay at this beautiful hotel anytime we come to the area. We also can’t wait to see how the renovations turn out, I’m sure it’s gonna exceed our expectations.

Everyone was very polite and helpful

We booked a king suite with fold out sofa and extra room. At check-in, I was asked to sign our reservation - I noticed an abbreviated code for two queen bedrooms. I questioned the staff about it and they advise that the room we booked was not available and that because we booked through hotels.com. It was also nonrefundable. They didn’t even disclose that the room wasn’t available and advised that they were aware of the lack of availability when they received the reservation from hotels.com. They also advised that it’s a regular occurrence that they are not able to honor reservations. Upon entering our room, we discovered that the toilet was broken. It was EXTREMELY noisy. You could hear cars revving their engines all night. We could hear one other hotel guest screaming “mother ….er” for hours, we could hear children, screaming and crying from the other direction. At breakfast, a guest took my full breakfast plate of food from right under me, and proceeded to sit down and eat it.

The staff was ESPECIALLY friendly and accommodating.
