Bro, Phil the bartender serves up the best drinks in SoCal. Excellent service, unreal drinks, even better conversation. I can never stay at another hotel unless Phil is serving up the drinks.

Outstanding staff, care for both our biggest annual event. Loved the experience so much, I extended my stay for a couple of extra days to spa and enjoy the area. Couldn't wish for more. Multiple great restaurants onsight. Mustangs and Burros was our go to. Curated menu. Lovely live entertainment. Stayed in a suite with plenty of amenities. Quaint, comfortable environment. I can't rave enough about the staff. That's rare these days.

From the start to the end, this hotel/resort experience was about extraordinary service. The kind that has been almost impossible to find for the last several years. In particular, Sam Hutto and Lorenzo at the front desk collaborated to help resolve an issue that popped up with our shower during our stay. Again remarkably, I didn’t have to repeat the history because they signed out when changing shift. The grounds are mature and tasteful Southern California plantings, the rooms are quiet and pretty, the food quite good and the pool areas really work well. But again, we’ll be coming back here again and again for the service.

The Palma customer service was excellent. Very friendly, tasty food and the potions were not stingy. Ordered the ceviche, poke nachos, and burrata flatbread. All were excellent. The Smoke and Mirrors cocktail was a perfect pair. Very chill vibe!

I hosted a company event at the Estancia and cannot say enough good things about the Estancia facilities and team! All on-site staff was friendly, helpful, and incredibly attentive. The facilities are beautifully done and recently renovated - clearly well thought-out and designed. And of course the planning staff (Kira, Nahomi, Kelly) were amazing to work with. We dealt with a lot of uncertainty in attendance due to a massive winter storm affecting travel, and they handled it empathetically. I so appreciate Kira's attention to detail leading up to and once onsite. I would work with her again in a heartbeat!

Came in to check out the hotel, spa and pool area and Phil was amazing.. He has great vibes and the pool area is nice and relaxing..

He was absolutely amazing friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. You can tell he loves what he does, and it really shows in the service. Phil made the experience feel personal and fun, and his drinks were on point. It’s rare to come across service like that these days, and he truly elevated our visit. If you’re staying here or just stopping by the bar, do yourself a favor and sit at the bar Phil will take great care of you! We will definitely be coming back 🍸✨

Estancia La Jolla is a great stay! Beautiful grounds and plenty of amenities/restaurants. Close to the La Jolla Cliffs. Phil, at the outdoor pool bar took great care of us today with drinks/food. Was very knowledgeable of the menu and made good conversations! Will definitely be coming back here to stay and will be telling family/friends about it!

Phil was an outstanding bartender, friendly, attentive, and clearly skilled at what he does. On top of that, the pool bar had a great atmosphere: relaxed, fun, and the perfect spot to unwind. The combination made the experience a highlight.

Good facilities set in a very relaxing atmosphere. The grounds are very well looked after and create a feeling of calm and relaxation.

We had to ask to move room as the smell from the bathroom drains was awful. I suspect the hotel already knew there was an issue as the room smelled strongly of bleach when we checked in. The pool area was incredibly poorly managed, lacking availability of fresh towels, water etc. Staff in the pool area were not trained to the level I’d expect for this standard of hotel. Pretty much a couldn’t care less attitude.
