Canal View Hotel Ter Brughe by CW Hotel Collection

The location of this hotel is very good and pretty, being next to the river. The staff were welcoming and helpful. They needed to be helpful because the dated shower didn’t function very well and the AC control unit was complicated with zero instructions in the room. The breakfast was very nice, great choices and nice dining room. However this hotel is dated, it badly needs a lift to the upper floors and the body of the hotel needs decoration. Overall it served its purpose, but 3 nights was enough.

Tout était moyen, du petit déjeuner avec minuscules portions de qualité moyenne à l’ambiance générale. Rien de particulièrement négatif, mais hôtel sans âme ni véritable empatie avec les clients. J’ai déjà logé dans d’autre hôtels historiques de Bruges, et j’avais adoré l’ambiance. J’ai voulu changer pour connaître d’autres endroits, mais je n’ai pas été satisfaite. Dommage. Un peu d’efforts…

Sehr zuvorkommendes und freundliches Personal. Charmantes Hotel in sehr schöner Lage. Überragendes Frühstücksbuffet.

El hotel es espectacular!

Staff was very friendly. Check-in and check-out was smooth at the hotel. I had reserved my booking with the pay at check-in option earlier via their website with my credit card. However I paid with cash upon our arrival. We got a complementary box of Belgian chocolates since we booked from their website. Amenities were excellent. We got everything in our room from coffee makers, hot chocolates and a mini bar to all toiletries and a hairdryer. Room and all common spaces were very clean and well maintained given it’s a very old building. There were 2 bathrooms in our room (we booked the classic canal view room). The bath room was very big with a huge window and bathtub. The other small bathroom where the loo was placed was very small and had no exhaust. It is recommended to have an exhaust or air ventilation system in the small bathroom. Special mention about their breakfast which includes a great selection of freshly baked breads, pastries and cakes, baked beans, scrambled eggs, cold cuts, fresh fruits and beverages. The breakfast area is a historic cellar more than 500 years old. Very pleasant stay and experience.
