Great location. Close to main areas but a bit quieter just over the canal

Nothing to think of. Since they have a “garden” it could be nicer but it seems really to be for smoking so people do not smoke in their rooms. It would not be a nice place to hang out in otherwise.

I stayed at this hotel for three days, and the experience could not have been more disastrous and unpleasant. First of all, I had originally made a reservation for four people. However, as we eventually became a group of three, I asked whether it would be possible to move us to a triple room on a lower floor, since the four-person room was located on the top floor (attic-style) and the hotel does not have a lift. I was rudely told to cancel my reservation and make a new one at a higher price. I accepted that I had already made the booking and paid for the four-person room on the top floor, even though there were only three of us. I had also requested a room with a canal view and made it clear that I was willing to pay extra for it. Instead, I was given the worst room possible, overlooking an emergency staircase—literally, the emergency exit was right outside my room. Furthermore, the cleanliness of the room was non-existent. When I arrived, the bathroom had not been properly cleaned and still had stains left by previous guests. Even worse, the bed linen had not been changed from the previous occupants. I have never seen anything so unhygienic in my life. At the end of my stay, I was informed that I had to pay the tourist tax, which I had absolutely no issue with. However, after making the payment, I was only given the card payment receipt—no invoice, no proper receipt, nothing. I then discovered that, despite there being only three of us, we had been charged tourist tax for four people. When I politely raised the issue, the reception staff responded in a rude and arrogant manner, claiming that they had asked me whether I wanted to pay for three or four guests and that I had supposedly chosen to pay for four. That explanation makes absolutely no sense. When I asked for the invoice or receipt for the tourist tax, they told me it had been sent by email to one of my companions. When I asked whether they actually had that email address on record, they admitted that they did not. The staff are extremely rude whenever you ask for a receipt or invoice. In the end, the overcharged tourist tax was refunded to me in the form of a voucher to be used on drinks at the hotel itself. Absolutely unacceptable. As for the location, it is about a ten-minute walk from the city centre, and the canal runs alongside the hotel. However, that is simply not enough to make up for the hotel's many shortcomings. The fact that the canal passes by the hotel does not justify having to put up with such poor standards. There is a three-star hotel next door which, at first glance, appeared to be considerably better than this one, and you can certainly find better options in the city centre. This hotel supposedly has four stars, but I can assure you that in Spain there are guesthouses with cleaner facilities and far better service than this hotel. If you can avoid staying here, do so.

Sehr schönes Hotel im Stil der Häuser in Brügge. Vor allem für Nachtschwärmer geeignet. Wer spät ins Hotel kommt. Die Bar ist 24/7 geöffnet.

Parken nur auf der Straße. Teuer. Aber in Brügge nicht anders zu lösen.

Le petit-déjeuner était fabuleux, la chambre cosy et le personnel attentif et souriant.

Pas d'ascenseur, mais parfaitement précisé lors de la sélection.
