Ferntree Rainforest Lodge

Quiet time of year friendly staff accommodation abit tired

Trying to get the hot and cold water to flow together was impossible so we ended up not washing! Also the bed was two single beds stuff together - so there was a big seam between us. Very disappointed.

Rooms clean and comfortable. Food below average. No bar outside restaurant hours. 6- 8pm

Communal facilities were dirty - BBQ, kitchen area

I stayed one night at this accommodation. I arrived late and the staff were wonderful at sorting out my room for me. The kitchen staff cook amazing food and the accommodation is wonderful. The pool is also lovely to go for a swim in. Very clean and very nice. Would definitely go here again.

Love the jungly feel of the place and the feeling of space and the amount of glass / light in the rooms. Breakfast is barely adequate, but is sure better than nothing

Cape Tribulation is amazing, but this lodge is not special at all. I wouldn't go back to it. It is in the middle of the rainforest, but it doesn't have mosquito nets, which is awful because the beautiful thing there is to fall asleep listening to the jungle. It has AC, which is totally anti-ecological in a place like the Daintree Forest, and unnecessary because it is not so hot. At least the bed was very comfy and the shower clean. I guess is good if you are a city person and afraid of nature, but if you want to melt with nature you should find a different lodge. The best thing about it were the bats, there are colonies of bats living in the Ferntree lodge and I really enjoyed to see them at sunset and sunrise.

The grounds were great at Ferntree. Nestled right in amongst the rainforest. Our room was nothing fancy, but it had everything we needed. We ended up getting there late, but staff had everything sorted for us. Easy nice experience.

Map of area ok but no corresponding indications on outside paths to help identify our unit. Also number on units themselves almost hidden.

Regretfully managed to get sick on day 1 Staff was caring and very helpful This was a return visit to The Lodge and it did not disappoint Altogether had a great time at Cape Tribulation
