Hilton Garden Inn Birmingham/Lakeshore Drive

The beds were very uncomfortable as well as the pillows. The indoor pool was freezing cold and did not circulate well which caused the water to be a bit murky. The area around the pool was dirty as well towels left everywhere dirt and outlet covers missing from plugs. The first room we were given the floors were so sticky we had to be moved to another room.

I am VERY particular about bathroom cleanliness. I HATE seeing other people's hair in the bathroom.

The front desk clerk was rude at check in. There was no coffee made at check in. When I came back down an hour later coffee was still not ready. The coffee creamer was empty in the lobby. There were flies everywhere at the coffee station. The room was clean enough. I would pick a different hotel if I were to go back to this area.

The lobby was presented well. Looked very nice and clean.

The room had an awful smell. The front desk offered to move us but we were already unpacked and opted to stay. The bathroom was not clean / there was pubic hair on the shower walls. The fitness room was dirty and the equipment was broken. Decided not to use it. Then I did think “it’s 10pm they wiil have it clean before morning” but no still had the spilled water in the floor and the same towels thrown on the floor at 7:30am.
