Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Youngstown - North Lima/Boardman by IHG

The good news: much-needed renovations have started. The bad news: we arrived on a Sunday and were assigned a room very close to the active work zone (imagine sawing, hammering, a loud radio). This continued until 9pm. I asked for another room and was given a new room two doors from the original. There was debris and dust in the hallway. The second room smelled musty. The bathtub was filthy and had a large crack along the bottom. The bathroom sink had no hot water and the TV had no signal. I called the front desk to ask when the construction noises would stop and was told that, "quiet hours didn't start until 10pm." Breakfast was the only high point, the attendant was friendly and hard working. The construction crew was polite and friendly, and I don't blame them for trying to work. I just didn't want to be assigned a room right next to the work zone for the eight days I'd planned to stay. I checked out the next morning and found a new place nearby. I always have good luck with Holiday Inn Express; this was a rare bad experience.

Location just off the turnpike was very good. Breakfast was good....Holiday Inn's breakfast are always good. The facility is nice but definitely has not been updated recently.

The guests on the floor above us were very noisy. Sounded like they had children who were not used to moving quietly. Facility is showing age and needs cosmetic updates. Wallpaper is seperating, carpet is pulling away from walls in the hallways, door key had to be jiggled in order to work.

Very friendly staff and decent breakfast

Staff was excellent; several interactions. Pillows were nice. Cleanliness was solid.

Air conditioner did not work on anything but full blast; shower had zero water pressure. Mattress was so hard and old you could feel the plywood underneath and the springs inside.

Needs a total renovation. Old just doesn’t do it. Stained sheets made me check out . Hope for the remodel before you decide to stay. Carpet has holes bathroom walls peeling. Furniture stains and cracks. Don’t stay find another hotel we drove another 30 minutes away.

The front desk staff (especially the overnight lady) were exceptionally nice and helpful.

The room was not cleaned as often as the card said it would be. We did not receive enough toilet paper. There was multiple times there wasnt any towels in the pool area and my daughter and I hd to go to our room soaking wet.

This hotel is dirty. The hallway carpeting is filthy. This hotel has become very rundown and needs to shut down for a complete remodel.

Great people! Outside grounds could use some work.
