Flamingo Motel

The property is very conveniently located near restaurants and stores, super close walk to the beach. It was very clean and the rooms were nice for the value.

The staff was very polite & accommodating. The indoor pool is a beauty. Screen doors surrounding so you can see outside. Or open the door and stand on the balcony.

Minor issue with our door key. We had to call down to have a new set of room keys due to them not working after a day. But on the other hand the staff came swiftly & apologized profusely

Close enough to the board walk that the kids and I could ride bike everywhere!! Also a fun part of town to walk around, a class walk to the beach and also a close walk to several good food & ice cream places, as well as jolly Rodger’s amusement park which is free to enter and walk around. Also loved the no carpet in the rooms! Over all a great experience! We’ll be back

Minimal, but no bike parking area that I could find.

It had fallen into bad habits, but they are taking baby steps toward making improvements. Overall much cleaner this visit than that of the last 2. The linen situation has improved with new matching bedding. Much more comfy stay. It was too chilly for the pool. They're reno'ing part of tower 2. There was hardly anyone there and I think I had the entire floor to myself. That 's the sad part, flamingo used to be packed from opening of the season to the end. Seeing only a couple cars in the lot was disappointing. New flooring and carpet. New slider doors, but there's no lock mechanism on the sliders. I would have been more nervous on the first floor, but I felt strongly no one was scaling the side of the building to get in my room. See attached photos for visual explanation. The towel situation has also improved. There were towels and they matched, appearing new too. The bathrooms haven't changed. I would go again. It's affordable in the area I like, so it'll stay my go to spot.

200$ safety deposit is a little much. They've lost that family oriented charm, but hopefully will regain it under the new management. The kid in the office had a king's arms t shirt on and I like that hotel a lot. Hopefully they'll have a positive impact on the place. I'm all for trees and bushes, but that tree to the right blocks the ocean view. Chop it down or in half.
