Hotel El Refugio de Juanar

The place is cozy. The hotel is a bit neglected, and the rooms could use some renovation. The worst part is the service (except for one guy who was very helpful; the other two girls there are friendly, but then charge you for various things they didn't tell you about beforehand). We won't be back.

The shower head only trickled water - no pressure The radiators in the room didn't work The bidet leaked Was expecting a continental breakfast as per previous reviews in the breakfast room. Breakfast was only toast with a compliment. The public toilets in the reception area both leaked

The property was nice location , beautifully decorated and nice outside space , really nice food and nice staff

When we arrived we were told that pets allowed but they had a size limit which I didn’t know about / or had seen whilst booking . The triple room was a bunk bed and a single bed which I thought for 3 adults wasn’t best option.

Very good place to start mountain walks.

The hotel is clean and the staff are very pleasant. The location is quiet and pretty. We were late to check in and thought we were locked out but a member of staff heard us outside and let us in with minimal fuss.

No hairdryer. Breakfast menu is a little limited We were unlucky when we were there because the quiet hotel turned into a mad house when it was taken over by a film crew without warning, which is fine, except we couldn't get our car out of the car park and then when we returned we had to park down the road and walk up the hill. There is no air conditioning but the room was cool enough in October, summer may be different? It's a long 5.6km drive from the main road.
