Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Richmond-Brandermill by IHG

The location was convenient

There should have been somewhere to mention that there was construction going on prior to booking. This was a very expensive room and we had to park at a neighboring building just to get to the hotel that night when we returned. Huge inconvenience with me being dressed for a formal event.

In the process of renovating but when it’s done should be great. Breakfast could use some help.

It needs to be properly cleaned and maintained because this property is in a very nice part of town. It was extremely messy in the lobby and looks very uninviting for the guests when entering the facility.

The whole ordeal was a complete waste of time and energy for me especially with having to deal with a extremely rude concierge person that was not even remotely interested in being helpful in trying to help me as she could plainly see I was having trouble walking being I’m disabled. Then proceeded to go further and continued to give me a hard time .

The hotel is being renovated and looks great. Very clean.

My experience was good, but the room was not well vacuumed.

The staff was VERY nice and helpful. The upgraded light switches with the automatic nightlights weren’t ideal. Very this window glass and you can hear every car that drives by.

The breakfast was ok, pretty standard for this caliber of hotel... it did the job, however, there was no juice out only coffee and tea and I thought there would of been a waffle maker since they had syrup avail but didn't see that either.

The desk chair in my room broke the 1st morning I was there. It was missing like 2 of the 4 required bolts to fasten it to the base. I fell backwards out the chair, hit my head on the ac unit in the room, reported it to the front desk, once I got home sent an email to the manager of hotel almost a week ago and still haven't heard back from them in regards to the incident. Very unprofessional in my opinion. This happened on Memorial Day weekend and I didn't want to bother having the staff call the manager to not bother her, yet I can't get a reply, apology for the issue or anything since the email.
