2026 June 2–7, we stayed at the hotel, and unfortunately our overall experience fell significantly short of what we would expect from a 4-star property.
Prior to our arrival, we sent an email requesting a room on a higher floor, but we did not receive any response for five days. Upon arrival, the staff seemed surprised that we had even made such a request.
As a positive note, we were allowed to check in early from 12:00 PM. However, we later learned that virtually all guests were offered early check-in that day, as the hotel was not fully occupied. The reception staff tried to be helpful, but communication was often difficult due to limited English proficiency.
The condition of the first room we were assigned was far below the standard expected of a 4-star hotel. Among other issues, we found a cracked mirror, moldy grout, missing toiletries, stained bed linens, dirty curtains, an exposed electrical cable, a dirty air-conditioning vent, an outdated room telephone, and a broken bathroom light fixture. In addition, the air conditioning was not cooling the room and was only circulating the air, which was particularly uncomfortable given the outside temperature of around 30°C (86°F). In this case, however, the maintenance technician deserves praise for arriving promptly, being friendly and helpful, and resolving the issue immediately.
Due to the condition of the room, we requested a room change. Unfortunately, this was not arranged on the same evening when we reported the issues, but only the following day at 2:00 PM. In the meantime, we requested housekeeping because we did not want to spend the night under those conditions. However, it appeared that the cleaning only addressed the most obvious issues.
The replacement room was in somewhat better condition, but it still had several problems, including a broken lamp, mold in multiple areas, and peeling plaster. While the mirror was no longer damaged, the hairdryer stopped working after approximately two minutes of use and would not turn back on. We reported the issue to reception and requested a replacement. Initially, we were told that someone would come immediately, but after waiting 15 minutes, no one arrived. Following another phone call, we were informed that we would need to wait an additional 5–10 minutes. In the end, nearly 40 minutes passed before a maintenance technician arrived with a replacement hairdryer, while we were already preparing to leave the room with wet hair.
The most significant issues for us were:
Inadequate housekeeping standards.
Worn-out rooms in need of renovation.
Mold, stained bed linens, dirty curtains, and damaged furnishings.
Several instances of unsatisfactory guest service.
Room conditions that do not reflect a 4-star rating.
On the positive side, the breakfast was excellent. The selection was extensive, fresh, and varied, ensuring that every guest could find something to enjoy. The restaurant staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive. It is also worth mentioning that the public areas, swimming pool, and fitness center are well-maintained, modern, and attractively renovated.
Our biggest disappointment was that the hotel’s official photographs present rooms that appear far more modern and better maintained than those we encountered in reality. Based on the public areas, guests are led to expect a completely different standard of hotel. However, once you enter the room corridors, it feels as though you have stepped into an entirely different property.
Overall, we believe the hotel offers a standard closer to a 3-star property. While the swimming pool, fitness center, excellent breakfast, and renovated public areas may justify its 4-star classification, the condition and cleanliness of the rooms unfortunately do not support that rating.
