La chambre en mezzanine, dont nous n'avions pas été informés, escalier très raide et peu confortable, sentiment d'espace exigu. Usure des peignoirs, l'un avait une ceinture déchirée, la porte de la salle de bains ne fermait qu'avec beaucoup d'efforts Horaires contraignants du petit déjeuner, annoncé jusqu'à 11h mais avec obligation d'arriver avant 10h30

Zentral gelegenes Hotel, hundefreundlich, ruhig, historisch, sehr leckeres Frühstück mit zuvorkommender Bedienung, klasse Blick über die Dächer der Altstadt. Ein wichtiger Hinweis: das Gebäude ist alt, historisch, es gibt keinen Aufzug, die Wendeltreppe ist recht steil. Unser Zimmer war aussergewöhnlich - das Schlafzimmer war nur über eine steile Treppe erreichbar. Gut zu wissen für Leute mit eingeschränkter Mobilität oder mit großen Koffern. Sonst wirklich sehr schön.

On paper, Abbaye de Maizieres seems like it would be a great place to stay in Beaune. The location is about as central as you can get, the venue is in a 12th century abbaye, and the rooms are clean and spacious (especially the suites). Where things went from Good to Poor for us were in the small details, most prominently the lack of hot water on 2 out of the 4 mornings we were staying at the hotel. My wife complained after each time, and while the issue was eventually fixed, it felt very shabby, and not in a chic sort of way. Additionally, the gentleman manning the check-in counter each evening was extremely unfriendly, and we did not feel comfortable ordering a nightcap after returning from dinner... it was almost like he didn't want to be bothered by us. Definitely think twice before staying here - there are much better options in town.

An amazing location and a beautiful building. The hotel staff were also incredible, going above and beyond to help me with a poorly timed dental emergency. Thanks to Betty! Friendly and helpful in every way. Our only concern was to let potential guests know that you can be up three flights of winding medieval staircase plus in your room your bed maybe on a mezzanine, one more flight of narrow steps. If you have any infirmity this might be too much!

One of the coolest hotels that I have ever stayed in. The lobby/bar is like a movie. No elevator but who cares. The property is in amazing.
