Comfort Inn Downtown DC-Convention Center

I made the booking primarily based on the location of the property, as I know the area well and knew that it would be most convenient for where I needed and wanted to be during my stay.

The furnishings in the room were really tired and worn out, and the space planning and layout were all wonky (that's why you hire a design professional), The breakfast was not even mediocre. The front desk person, while efficient and competent, could have more polite; her "bed side manner" for the person in line ahead of me whose room was not ready (even though it was already 5:30 p.m.) left a lot to be desired. The main entrance door was supposed to be secured and opened with a key card but it was unlocked all the time, day and night; it leads right up to the elevator and essentially by passes the lobby, meaning anyone could easily access the other floors without staff ever knowing. It seemed I was regularly having to sign onto the wifi, often several times a day; that was annoying. And, finally, I left early in the morning to get to the airport and there was no hot water for the shower; also very annoying.

Convenient, quiet, nice staff.

Rooms were efficient and bathrooms could use an update.
