Maui Parkshore - Maui Condo & Home

Condo very outdated,. Tile had mold, wall paper peeling off the wall. Master bedroom bed was extremely uncomfortable. Water was shut off day we arrived due to a leak and was shut off again the day before we left for the same reason. No air-conditioning so had to have all the windows open to try and cool condo down, condo is on very busy road with result that we couldn't sleep with all of the noise from the road. Insects all over kitchen and in bathrooms. Just felt dirty.

Good location. Dirty and very dated condo. Lack of supplies and broken parts (toilet and kitchen sink).

We had several bad experience staying at this place 1. Wifi was down and we were left a note about the situation, so I had to call in to have it fixed, only to have it fixed on the last day of our stay. I had to call in every single day to get a status update on the wifi situation, until they resorted to give it the alternative network. They could have handled this situation better by promptly giving us the working network while having the current one fixed, or getting permission from the owner to get it fixed or whatever. Wifi was important to us becuz we are international travelers, and we rely heavily on the wifi to plan our days. 2. The coffee machine couldn't brew so I called in again to have it replaced, and this time they did it very promptly. 3. Last but not least, this place really has HYGIENE ISSUE as the master bedroom was infected with bedbugs and kitchen with cockroaches. The folks that stayed in the master bedroom got bitten so much that at the end of the trip they just got marks covered all over their legs and bodies. This lodging is a huge let down for me, because at the end of the day, even we are so tired and need a place to rest up, the thought of going back to that bed just sickens us all up.

pros: Right across the street from the beach. This area was very popular for runners. I could run on the beach or sidewalk. Washer dryer and kitchen was our savior (three kids four and under.) The place came with boogie boards sand toys and fishing poles. Access to pool. We were on the fourth floor (top) so with the windows open the airflow with the ceiling fans was on point. Cons: No AC We were on the top floor but located so far from the parking lot. No service to come and clean every day. There is no one working at the front desk. Luckily they have an after hours service who let us know our keypad code to get in and our parking spot number. Overall: A great place to stay if you are coming as a family with kids young and old. If it were just my husband and I I would like to have stayed in a resort. It worked great being able to cook my own meals and have some time and a place to get away with my kids. I expected no AC coming to Hawaii. My in laws live there and we have stayed with them and they don't have AC. Plus they have shuffle board and tennis there! It worked for my family and our situation!

I based this review on our first condo. So disappointing for our first dream vacation to paradise and for the price. It was dirty and had cockroaches everywhere. I had to change the sheets because there was sand in the bed, so it clearly hadn't been cleaned well from the last guests. There were just a few towels and wash clothes and they were nasty looking. However, after calling the hotel about the roaches, they were VERY helpful and kind and changed us to another condo that was much, much nicer and well equipped for guests. Nice towel sets, beach towels, chairs and toys, plenty of dishes and cooking items. This unit would receive 4's and 5's from me. So if you are assigned to condo 302 change immediately!! We ended up in 312 and is was great!! Only recommendation would be a balcony shade.

Nice location, nice beaches close by. Great dining all around.

Management and the cleaning staff really stepped up after we arrived to make sure the unit was properly cleaned and re-stocked. This is an older building but it was functional and comfortable with a nice pool. No AC but their was adequate ventilation with ceiling fans and window screens.

Very comfortable and great place to stay. Had so many things to offer in and around the condo. Condo home was well maintained and clean. Had good rules to have a very enjoyable stay. Amazing views of the ocean and Haleakala. There was no air conditioning in the unit we stayed however, keeping the large sliding doors open to the balcony led fresh and cool air spread into the unit, keeping it cool and comfortable. It can actually get really chilly overnight. Also, being able to hear the ocean waves across the street is nice.

We loved how close it was to a great beach that the kids could play in the water safely with not to many waves

I asked for room with ocean view - which I did get; however, I was on the 1st level so my view was technically the parking lot. Overall, it wasn't a bad experience. If you want to explore Maui and don't intend on staying in your room the whole day then this is for you. We just needed a place to sleep and we were not looking for a place that required room service, dining facility, or even a pool. By the way, there's a pool which we never saw because why go to the pool when you are on an island with beautiful beaches. Just a tip, wash the bed sheets, pillow cases, and towels you plan to use once you arrive. I found hairs on my bed sheet so I'm not sure if management washes the sheets and towels after each guest.
