"Rigdon House - Cambria, CA"

Loved the historical setting and the overall feel of the Rigdon House. Free drinks during happy hour was a plus. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the property.

The bed, like the house, felt like it was from the 1890's. Very springy and worn out. The only other minor complaint were that there were too many remotes. I counted six different remotes to control TV's, lighting/ceiling fans and AC units.

Very large room, great location, modern bathroom.

The bed was very uncomfortable. It seemed like the mattress was very old, sagging in the middle - not easy to sleep on. Also, the window curtains were very thin and let a light into the room at dawn

I honestly didn’t expect the stay to be this nice, but it turned out to be a really lovely surprise. The welcome at reception was very warm and friendly, and we were even offered a cocktail on arrival which was a really nice touch. The room was spacious, comfortable, and quiet, and the common areas are very pleasant to spend time in. I especially enjoyed the garden with the fire pit — a very cozy and relaxing space in the evening. Overall, a great stay with excellent value for money. I would happily come back.
