Pousada Bucaneiro

Gorgeous place on the edge of town (5mins walk to the centre) surrounding a pool area with bar that serves good food and cocktails. Very friendly staff and a good breakfast. Walk past the pool to get to your gorgeous room, with a private seating area outside overlooking the pool and the view beyond. Very tranquil and relaxing place.

Just returned from a lovely 4 night stay here. As already pointed out in the reviews, this is not a 5-star hotel. However it is charming with real character and we very much enjoyed our stay here. The staff were all very helpful but except for the manager,Alex, they don’t really speak English but nothing that Google Translate couldn’t solve! It has a lovely little pool area and is just a 15 minute walk to one of a few beaches. We personally like Brava beach. It is also well positioned for an easy walk into the centre of Buzios where most of the restaurants and shops are. Breakfasts were good and on the last night it was raining so hard we decided to stay and eat in (as did a number of other guests). The barman did an excellent job of looking after us and it was all reasonably priced. Happy to recommend.

We have stayed in Buzios a few times before and this is definitely our favorite place. Beautiful setting with a lovely pool and gardens. The rooms are also extremely clean and cool. A fantastic location just a 5 minute walk to the main centre with restaurants bars etc. Highly recommended!

It is a lovely boutique hotel, the staff were very friendly. Rooms were spacious and clean. The chef cum bar man was excellent, he prepared a meal for 6 of us with no notice and it was very tasty. Hats off to him as he was doing kitchen and bar at the same time (maybe need more staff to assist). Breakfast was plentiful. The massage (extra charge) was excellent. Alex the manager was great, very helpful, courteous, friendly. Highly recommended. Only point is no kettle in the room, as Brits we need our tea! A pousada é boa mas não chega a ser excelente, quartos bons mas com algumas aparências ruins como ferrugem, porta toalhas caindo, iluminação fraca, recepção boa, café da manhã muito bom, estacionamento pequeno mas como estava sem movimento não tivemos problemas, mas não cabe veículos para todos os hospedes. Cobra taxa de pet 50,00 por diária e taxa de turismo no local. No geral voltaria.
