SpringHill Suites by Marriott Greensboro

Room was old and dirty feeling. The power went out due to a storm and came back on with a burning smell in my room. Front desk staff came to assess- agreed burning smell was noted. Offered to change my room. New room felt icky as well. Bathtub water was stopped up and did not drain which was extra Icky!! As I was preparing for checkout, the fire alarm went off and stopped and started a few times. I looked in the hallway for signs of smoke and housekeeping was walking by nonchalantly, continuing to work. Therefore, I believed it was a false alarm and took a few mins to pack up for check out. Upon checking out- I noted the fire department was there to investigate something- that was not communicated to me as a guest, who could have potentially been in danger!

Need upgrades done is now under renovation which I hope comes with better carpeting and upgrade to bathrooms are needed.

I truly enjoyed the delicious breakfast and how accommodating the staff was durning my stay.

I didn't like that the pool wasn't open. However, staff was transparent from the beginning.

The concierge was absolutely fantastic and such a pleasant, knowledgeable woman. We had a fantastic experience overall.

Convenient location, it appears to be getting a much needed renovation.

My room was dark and dingy. The carpet was badly stained and the bathroom was very worn. Although I used the tub shower I was careful to avoid using and stepping in certain areas.

Cleanliness, warm of staff. The staff (minister) was greeting guest during breakfast and gave it a homey feel. The check in was smooth.

Under construction, but did not cause any problems.

The gentleman at the reception was a bit rude when I asked what the charges were during our stay. The rest of the night he would not make eye contact or say hello as we passed by. However the morning after we were greeted by a new receptionist lady that was really friendly and polite. The room had a musky smell and definitely needs some upgrading for the price. Beds were not big enough or comfortable. The pool was heated and must of had a lot of chlorine. My kids eyes burned afterwards. The area around the hotel was pretty nice though lots of shops and restaurants. Won’t be booking here again for us.

My bathroom was broken, and the ceiling to the pool was leaking.

We were extremely disappointed with our stay. We asked the desk to ensure that we would have running water the next morning, in light of a notice we saw the front desk. We were assured there would be water at the time we needed it. What we didn’t know was that there was no hot water in the tub or shower. We were moved to another room and there was no difference. Tragic!! We will never return and deserve a REFUND for the gross inconvenience.
