Il Pavone Errante

We had a delightful time at this agriturismo. The views are spectacular, and Claudio has done amazing work with the landscaping. On one side of the house you have a vista of the mountains and on the other of the sea. The pool is lovely. The room was functional, clean, and comfortable. The mattress was very good, and there is a small fridge to chill wine or food. The host is very nice and puts out a delicious breakfast with prosciutto, cheese, fresh bread, fruit, yogurt, museli, delicious cake, and coffee. He also prepared a nice pasta for us one evening. For lunch, there is a restaurant five minutes down the road run by a couple of grandmothers with great food. There is a 9th century chapel, Pieve di Monte Sorbo just a short drive away, and there are a number of walking trails you can enjoy from there.

These aren’t things that we “didn’t like” but just for a traveler to bear in mind. The location is a bit remote from services. For dinner, you have a 10-20 min drive on winding mountain roads if you want to go out. And the same is true if you to pick up groceries. Claudio prepares nice pastas and meat and cheese boards until about 730pm, but if you’re looking for a later dinner or the four-course menu that some agriturismi offer, this isn’t available. The setting more than makes up for this, but to avoid driving for dinner in the evening, the ideal thing would be to pick up some prepared foods in a nearby town at the end of your day touring around and have them on the terrace or by the pool in the evening. The view is simply unbelievable.

Amazing setting, beautiful nature with the best views. Claudio was so kind and helpful and made us feel truly welcome. He was generous with recommendations on what to do and where to eat and even helped us book. Can only recommend this place!

Il soggiorno in questa struttura è stata una vera scoperta! Un oasi di pace nel bel mezzo delle colline emiliane. Un luogo dove poter riposare, riscoprirsi e riconettersi con se stessi. Un posto che grazie alla disponibilità e gentilezza di Claudio diventa quasi casa.

Assolutamente nulla.

Un luogo davvero perfetto per staccare e riposarsi. Il silenzio e il paesaggio attorno davvero bello, le foto parlano da sole. Il giardino e la zona piscina sono molto curati. Accoglienza e colazione super.

Tutto perfetto peccato per i cuscini del letto scomodi, per il prezzo le camere si potrebbero curare un po’ di più. Essendo una struttura con piscina una zona dove poter stendere asciugamani e costumi sarebbe ottima.

Exceptional hospitality. Claudio, the host did everything to make our stay comfortable and memorable. The food was amazing. The views are to die for. The infinity pool is very nice. The property is extremely secluded and in the middle of nature. I am looking forward to coming back.
