Padre South Hotel On The Beach

It’s close to the beach.

Property was good.

Overall, I liked the hotel. Access to the beach is via a sandy path through a private exit. The room was clean, and the staff was friendly.. The presence of a stovetop allows you to cook in the room, which is very convenient.

I would have felt more comfortable if the housekeepers spoke a little more quietly. The air conditioning is rather weak

Great location and great value

This hotel is perfectly situated on the beach, just a 2min walk and you're there. Also, I commend the staff's friendliness, but the only downside is that the room I booked for our wedding anniversary weekend is subpar compared to what they posted online. It felt damp; the furniture/couch definitely needs an upgrade, as does the carpet, and there is no ventilation in the bathroom, which made everything worse after having a hot shower or after using the toilet. SPI is a great place, but its image is so tainted that you get nasty encounters from female restaurant servers around.
